I thought I better bring this to the top as a reminder....

Knowing how Miss Tam wants to keep herself informed  I would not want her to miss this- and since MRJ says she has a hard time finding time to keep informed on the issues- here is her chance...

Sorry got some paint drying I have to watch-be just as truthful and informative-there's a station must be hard up for shows or is it a rent-a -minute deal.

NR-your desire to not view this does not surprise me...

In watching the show, one thing became very apparent by the number of phone calls-from geographically around the country, and various degrees of industry involvement... That is the adamant feeling that no one wants a government legislated or mandated animal ID system....While callers all supported R-CALF's position of opposing a government run system or a mandated system, it sounded like many think they should take a stronger stand against it..........

Ended up with almost 1/2 the show being about the ID system......

Opposition to the M-ID proposal could become a big membership recruitment issue- since NCBA has already shown their hand by trying to get their monopoly system pushed thru- and when that failed by partnering with Allflex and tying into the corporate profit taking if the government pushes the mandate thru....

Credit is due R-CALF for the total control they maintained over the content and calls to the program.

No independent moderator.

No controversial calls.

No 'hard' questions.

Some callers made a point of not being members.

Many calls show little is known or understood about M-ID.

Most interesting comment: from a caller who must listen to the Derry Brownfield show, who stated : (paraphrased) "there is nothing we can do about this. It's in Revelations. This IS the mark of the beast. It will be on people, too."

If you're looking for a hard or controversial question, why didn't you pick up the phone and dial?

Sandhusker...If you're looking for a hard or controversial question, why didn't you pick up the phone and dial?

Then she couldn't bench about them if she did and they answered her question. Sorta reminds me of another fella on here.

Actually MRJ- many, many people do not understand the proposed M-ID...The USDA has taken a page out of NCBA's handbook and flipflopped and talked out of the side of their mouth so many times that everyone is confused...First its mandatory, then its not, then it will be if you don't do it vouluntarily :???:

A lot of people did not pay much attention to it- believing that no government Dept. would ever get away ordering the most onerous mandate ever put on a group of people (every animal owner) in the US... This could not happen in a free country....

But now many are seeing that it could happen and are beginning to question it...
With the questions and the heat the USDA are catching they are backtracking on many issues- saying that what they wrote is not what they meant :???: There were going to be no exemptions- now they are saying exemptions and alternate methods will be devised for religous beliefs... That is the reason Congress said- no more money until you can get a plan together- and a cost estimate to the industry...

As far as your religious caller- you need to read many of the articles and websites...It isn't just Derry Brownfield- some of the right wing and pro Christian groups are saying the same thing...And some of these previous pro-Bush people are now calling him and his administration the Anti-Christ...
