Saw one of these guys at the ranch the other day. The boys called it an "onza" but on the internet it's called a tayra. Serious-looking critter to say the least. About a yard long, including tail, and close to 20 pounds. :shock:

The one I saw the other day was within 100 yards of where I saw another a year or two ago.....very near my largest pond. I'm wondering if they're just hunting in that area or perhaps have a den. If I could get my hands on a youngin' I'd give it a try.
