Well we are back from our San Antonio trip with the FFA kids. We had a great time. I took quite a few pictures that didnt turn out. The lil camera I borrowed isn't like my old one LOL. I don't know if it's me, or the camera, but most of the inside pictures at the show didn't turn out worth a flip. They got blue ribbons on both projects but didn't place for prizes. That's ok, always seems like they do better in Houston than they do at San Antonio. Don't know why, they are competin against most of the same projects....just different judges. So we'll see how Houston goes in a couple weeks....they are gonna take the projects back into the shop and do some touch ups and a few changes, that the judges pointed out that could be better. LOL Like the finish on the trailer floor, it's just treated lumber....no special finish. And then there were a couple places on the feeder that need a lil more attention on it's finish. But technically, as far as usability goes, them cows won't care if there's a small flaw in the paint job on it, and the floor of the trailer, well it's a "use" trailer. They did great work on both projects. We are proud of them all.
Unloading (this is the only decent picture I got of the boy's trailer.)
Three girls and a feeder
(this is the last year they will build a feeder)

And we're off....to the Alamooooooo!!!! I wanted to take them there, didn't know how many of the kids had been ( if ever ) And it's about the ONLY thing you can go do that's FREE!!! LOL
The whole time we were walking around, I kept thinkin..."the catagory for this last contest was architecture...."
This is the old well that's out in the courtyard of the Alamo. I thought it'd look cool in Black n White.
Talk about architecture!!!! WOW!!!
We took the kids out to eat at a Steak house called "The Little Red Barn" it's HUGE, and they serve over 1000 steaks a day. It was packed too.
And here's somethin I thought all the ranchers would get a giggle out of.....it's the Sale Barn at LaGrange....yeah......"that lil town in Texas that ZZ Top sings about" hehe
Kinda rustic lookin, aint it? That recliner looks well used.
