Well, this was a five day weekend for me, no school thursday friday, or today.
Wednesday we skipped class and went to zone 43 for the chronic wasting zone. In Welding first class I got second degree burns on my left hand. I shot a fawn. That's the good part. The bad part was aI had to drag it uphill for a couple hundred yards, twisted my ankle, and cut my other hand.
Thursday I was so tired and sick and sore that I didn't enjoy myself hunting at all. I missed two easy shots at a deer, and three coyotes, so I got frustrated, put my gear in the truck and went to sleep.
Friday we went to Agribition. Me and my brother got extremely lost, and my ankle was acting up. Got my phone stolen.
Saturday We saw exactly one deer. And it was a doe. No biggie. I had a date saturday night. I drove her to a party in my car, and she left with some other guy, so I went with a few buddies in my friend's new truck ('06 Chevy with a 6 litre) to see what it could do. We went into a flat field, inspected the whole thing for hills, rocks and V ditches. We came across the field at, from my last glance of the spedometer, 140km/h. The Fenceline was coming up.. The brakes didn't grab. We hit a rock the size of the front end of my car, Truck in the air for 56 feet.. the passenger side touched down at 24, and the driverside finally touched at 56. Front diff, A frame, rim, and the whole frame and box mounts are totally wrecked. Now I wear my seatbelt everywhere.
Sunday was mom's birthday, I was still shaken up from the night before. After her party and she went to bed, I went out. I was driving with a girl that was so close, that she was like my sister.. The girl I liked (not the one that left with another guy) seen us driving through town and she called.. Summarized, I am an arrogant prick that will back stab or tear the heart out of anything that has a pulse. Note to self, do not ever talk to that one again.
Today I went hunting with a friend. We took my car. If we'd shoot anything we were gonna strap it onto my trunk. We hit a patch of ice and got stuck. Walked three miles for help. Got out in time to get the last hour of hunting. Fifteen kilometers later, threr went my transmission. I called ross and he pulled me the 50km back into town.
Fuel for hunting-$30
Fuel for women-$20
Written off truck-$20,000
New Transmission-$600
Ammo-$10
Learning how valuable every second is, how life has it's up's and downs and how appreciative we must be towards the friends that help us through those rough spots-Priceless.
