I don't know how y'all do it. We can shoot the snakes, swat the spiders an we don't have many gators but they are real tasty 8)hillsdown said:per said:I hope it runs out of steam before it gets down here. I would have loved to leave my replacements out longer as well, but with the snow and melt ,then freeze etc. we are to hilly for them to travel the icy north sides. Can't risk a fall so they are in now and being fed.
Bloody Alberta weather ..We live here why ??? Oh ya,, no big snakes, spiders and gators ...![]()
Anyone planning to travel it is supposed to be worse tomorrow as you head south.

per said:Full blown blizzard going on here. Went to rescue 3 trucks a mile down the road but changed my mind in about 50 feet past my yard. They are camping out now in a house that is for sale but empty. Power has been off for a while and just came back on. Then another truck went by, two minutes later another call. I went to rescue him because he was only a couple hundred yards down the road. I hope everyone else has the sense to hole up.
I know the risk but for sure will do something to help out it I can. We will leave the lights on and the house unlocked tonight.Big Muddy rancher said:per said:Full blown blizzard going on here. I don't mind if people need a place to sit out the storm as I have done that myself a few times but we live on a lonely stretch of road and have had to help some out fits out of the ditch and such. The Hiways Dept says I could be in trouble because I use colored diesel in my tractor and that's not farm work and being a good sam wouldn't help if an accident occurred while helping as I could be held liable. NOW if they need help on the road we call Hiways.
Unless it hits me square on I'll never see it. I had you pegged for being south of me. :? Cyberspace is fun isn't it?hayguy said:per, sent some feed your way a few hours ago, if you can catch it you can have it.
