S Chisum 6175

My "Type" of bull might differ a little from other folks but that's good with me. I like being a little bit strange! :D While not perfect, this bull is a little more like the type that tickles my fancy. What do you think of him (Vindicator, top left) if you ignore his milk number?

Deep and soggy, seems to lack secondary masculine character, he is young though. But considering the condition he is in he should show more crest then what he does IMO. He just looks flat to me, hard to evaluate from a photo though. :)

I agree with just looking at pictures. I want to see a bull travel, change direction, how he couples, ect. But he is a little more of the type I like. Bulls need capacity, depth and I like a straight topline. It's fun to look at different bulls and how they are put together. It is also fun to see how they are marketed. :D

Chisum has the belly fat and brisket to help his weights.

Comon man

The breeders of Chisum have listed his best bulls bw range from 69 to 94

We have a friend that called tonight to discuss bulls. He brought up
ORIgen and I had never heard of it before. Interesting that it is brought
up on this thread. Good timing for me to ask some questions for our
friend.

He is interested in SDR Chief Justice 662 for heifers. Mind you, he does not
plan to retain any heifer calves, so that doesn't need to be considered.
Anyone know anything about this bull for calving ease and growth?
He has Neutron 477 in the background and that is not a calving ease bull.

He also likes Hoover Dam.

Apparently a fellow by the last name of Wall was at a bull sale our friend
attended...and got him interested in these bulls. Personally, I don't like
the phenotype of the Chief Justice bull, but he does look like a heifer bull--as much as you can tell from a photo.

Anybody use this bull? My heifers are bred to him. I think he is a good looking Focus son. Opinions welcome. Both good and bad.

That wouldn't be Gary Wall-- who thru all the big/moldy money folks puts together these consortiums to buy these young bulls for extraordinary prices- and then "make them good" thru fancy high dollar promotion using a lot of commotion and emotion... :???: And try to make them top the bull of the month club- long before they have been tested by real life....

i don't know anything about bull the bull you mentioned, but here is another InFocus son that is starting to gain some momentum. i've sold calves to the guy that owns him, and they have bred alot of hfrs. to this bull and have been pleased to no end. i think Genex, or one of the studs have since leased the bull.
