Ok Farmer I am going to use a little more Lead On this year also. Also using Premium Product

Its bull selling season so where all hearing alot of bull stuff.

These Pioneer sons are going to the talk. I think Pioneer was kinda low promoted last season till more were on the ground. They finally got a good picture of him late last year. Heard that 70 of his sons scanned over a 16 inch REA. I think this bull is one that is going to produce sons better than he is..

I wish there were some Blk Cedar sons around these sales. Would like to see a fancy one.

I have a Pioneer son I bought in Dam-he's wintering on straight hay like the rest of the bull calves-the biggest going up up but not going out. Guess we'll just wait and see.

SAV Pioneer sons avg 15,000 each but if one take off the top at 180,000 the the average drops to 11,000 for the promotion, As NR noted I also own a Pioneer heifer purchased as a very repected state breeder production sale for 1,000 last fall.
The sale averaged over 10.000 for 390 bulls grossing 4 million on the bulls alone.
If one takes off the top 6 bulls it drops 957,000 for those bulls alone. average drops to a bit over 8,000 each. Then its a bit over 3 million

A friend had a phone bid on a bull for 8,000 and was taken with respect. however we could here them laughing in the backgound (it was not a top selling lot either) they told him one could not touch any bull for less than 5,000. Looking at the sale results many sales top seller of a herd runs between 5 to 10 thousand. I love the SAV herd but one has to be real at some point in time.
If anyone has the SAV sale book inside front page says any bull for a bull for anyones budget from 2500 to 3500. false it sould of said 25,000 to 35,000

i have nothing against SAV or their operation, but they do need to drop the "Affordable Genetics for the Commercial Cowman" campaign.
