Most years start feeding Nov. 1st. Have not fed yet, very thankfull, with hay at all time highs in our parts.

Shorthorn cattle that can be used in the real cow business are few and far between. Have been able to peddle a few bull calves each year. Doc Swartz and his wife Annita live near medical springs, have known them for many years.

We started about 2 wks early here. Usually start about Thanksgiving. It's just been sooooooo dry here then it turned cold WAY too early.
