Heifers today. They were booked at the auction, but I posted them online and wound up selling them out of the yard to Quebec.

The trucker was TRES FRANCAIS...All that highschool french came in handy today as we conferred on directions, numbers, etc.

The fellow left Quebec on lundi matin (monday morning) and arrived at our place vendredi matin (Friday morning) after hauling a load from Winnipeg to Calgary. He figured to be home by dimanche dans le soir (Sunday in the evening). He will see a lot of country.

I hope you taught those heifers some French cuss words and phrases or how will the new owners sort them?

The train would have been cool, but it looks from the map like they are going to be a long way from the end of the track...
The entire sale was done over about 4 emails. When the fellow organizing the truck phoned, he asked if I had talked to the buyer, as he figured he couldn't speak english. Who knew 6 years of high school french would pay one day?

One of our regular truckers used to haul quite a few loads to Quebec.....claimed they could do a trip quicker & deliver the cattle in better shape than the Eastern drivers!
It is a long haul.....made that trip once & swore the only way I'd go again is in a plane!
