I guess the old groundhog did not see his shadow and we are all in store for an early spring. The sad part is the earthpig is only correct about 32% of the time. That is about par with the weathermen out here. But I have an even better way to tell that spring is coming. It is garunteed to be a surefire way to absolutely know spring is coming. Just pay attention to Ranchers.net and as soon as the mineral arguement starts followed shortly by the calving timeframe debate and the merits of black cattle over red alley fight and you will know for sure that winter is getting on our nerves and spring better be coming before we all kill each other! :D It works every time, year after year! :D Now pardon me while I go check on my calvy black heifers that are in dire need of some flintstone vitamins! :D

Hang in there folks! Spring is only 4 months away. Unless your a Canadian. In your case spring doesn't exist as Texas stole it from you as they probably already have peaches and watermelons!

I was telling Sparky of all the fights that have been happening on Ranchers.Net. His solution is to have another category for the forum called E-Bar. This would be an internet bar where you drink at home, fight long and hard and say anthing you want on the keyboard, and then wake up the next morning with the usual hang-over but minus any black eyes, broken ribs, knife lacerations, or knocked out teeth. He might just be on to something. :-)

i like it..although HayMaker and OT would probably get sick of being the only ones in there all day long.

Seen a flock of geese headed north just before we got the last nasty storm. :D The must have been eating fermented corn escaping the souths bad weather. The sure sign of spring is the cows get the urge to go on long walks and find any fence challenges and visit the neighbors.

Jackrabbits are starting to turn brown-- and sticking out like sore thumbs!!
