atleast we will have some good moist ground for the spring grass to grow in.

Yes we will have that.

Every time we've gone out to put out hay for the cows this last week....I've smelled hogs. Haven't seen any...but they are definately there. Then yesterday, I seen where we had fresh hog roots.

Mr Lilly thought for a long time when I'd tell him I could smell em....that I was nuts. He now knows to listen to me. There's been a couple times that I've said it...then we see em before the words are outta my mouth good. Trinity....have you smelled em? Like a kinda sick sweet smell...??? (it's not the normal domestic hog in a pen smell)

I can smell them before they come out if I am down wind. Just like you said a kinda sweet smell. They old savage 99 .243 can really make short work of them.

keep your hogs, send beer!

You can have beer, hogs, and pecans, but you just have to come and get it. I know thoses hogs would love the Kansas corn. I bet these tought son of a gun could even turn and froze ground over up there. We have had some hunters out the past 2 weeks and they have killed over 20 hogs. Most of them are under 100 lbs. I don't know where they are coming from but they have hit us hard. I told my dad today maybe we should give up cattle and just raise hogs.
