Some new pictures

Great Pix. Pretty big country you got there. But what I like the best is I bet I wouldn't find any hay ground anywhere near ya. True cowboy country.

Heck, I agree,,,don't worry about posting again...I can't remember if I saw it or not...lol either way great cowboy country...but I'm still havin a hard time figuring out how to do a roundup with all them trees..lol

yeah in that first picture you see that blue ridge way back there and then just before it you see another ridge well thats about were my country stops and then it goes on for about 14 miles directly behind me , and i think its anout 35 miles lfet to right lookin at the picture , that blue ridge way back there in the back ground you can see thats part of the oro ranch some of you folks might have heard of it before . Yeah gatherin these big pastures with trees in them is easy to me but i can see how it might be difficult for someone who hasnt done it but you just make what you call a drive and scatter your riders out like you would any were else , and you might be a mile from the guy on either side of you but you always flank to your men beside you and zig zag thru your country , and learn to read tracks that helps alot . But you just pikc it up over time .

well this ranch here is waterd pretty good so they never have to travel much further than i would say 3 miles at the most and maybe anywere from 1/2 to 1 mile is average in most pastures , but like i said there are places were they might hav eto walk up to 3 miles .

This ranch is all dirt tanks , here in my country i have 2 springs one is dry and the other fills a steel tank that feeds a pipeline that is about 10 miles long in one pasture . But when it rains we have water in pot holes everywere , so if your workin a pasture and tryin to gather and it rainbs on ya you really gotta cover some country cause them cows will really stay scatterd out then ya know . But i got these cows of mine pretty trained now were if you get in one of these thick pastures and start whoopin and hollerin they start headin for the dirt tanks and them old cows get excited bout movin to another place so they get to bawlin and then it goes right down the country and they all know they are leavin . Course you always got them nasty ole cows that show up at the dirt tanks and when the realize there aint a man there yet they pull out and leave and hide from ya , but most of them will stand at the tanks and wait for ya .
