I just got some new pics loaded into photobucket, so thought I'd share. These have been taken over the last 3 weeks, so I don't remember just when they were taken.....it's tough gettin old and fergitfull.........

Had to replace a frost-free hydrant up at the corral a few weeks back, used the backhoe to dig down so far, then shovelled from there to the waterline......while the backhoe was idling, Wheezer (who weighed in at 1,004# this weekend, and made the minimum for our fair next month :D )had to go check it out....

While he was doing that, Bandi took advantage of having the dirt pile all to herself and got absolutely filthy!

Poor little Junior, just stood back and watched, till he spied me, and then here he came! He's not a bad looking little dogie, huh?

JB, thanks for the compliment! The only thing I like better than taking these pics, is sharing them! :D

azcowpuncher, ya think?   From what I've seen of your pics, this is pretty much the same type country as what you have......gotta love good cow country, even if it is brushier than brushy!

Katy, not only is he cute, he's also very smart! We have him in the yard right now, till he gets pretty well acclimated to where he lives, and I did some washing the second day he was here. He jumped up and grabbed a pair of jeans, and I slapped him and told him no. Yesterday, the lines were full of clothes all day, and he'd go lie in their shade, but never touched anything! Gotta love a smart dog!!!!! :D

PureCountry, I'm not really sure what his other half is, but he's definately half hound (I saw his mama...... ). She looks just about like he does, but his sister (that Al's friend, Benjie, got) is just a light brown/tan color.......we're thinking he's half something else, but not sure, and the guy we got him from, is gone right now, so can't even give him a jingle and find out........ :?

flrooster, Snip is a blackmouth cur. We got him from Kit, when they were getting all their critters new homes, after they lost the Diamond Bar. He's about 5 now, and is one of the best "hunt 'em up" dogs I've ever seen. He really has a knack for it, and in our brushy country, it comes in really handy cause those old sookies like to hide in the brush and you can ride right by them and never see em.
The pup could be part Catahoula, too, we're just not sure. He just doesn't have enough "ear" to be full blood hound.
