Saw these guys tonight when we went out to check some crop and see how much rain we had.

They are nice!
People from the US can't hunt them in Canada, can they?
Or if they can, what is the procedure to get a license?

If I recall correctly, Northern Rancher used to show us some huge buck
deer, but people from the states weren't allowed to get a license.
Not that I care, I'm not a hunter, I'm mostly curious.

No they have to go north and hunt Whitetail with a guide.

Heck we have probably a couple hundred on the ranch and only get drawn once every 4 years. :?

I guess if i really wanted to hunt i could take up the bow.

You can take a BOW anytime, BMR. You're an entitled (meaning OLD :p ) member. :D

BMr - Here's a link to a pretty nice bow if you think it will help you get a deer...

Ya take a bow, but hunting with a bow you still need a tag and be in season. :?

That's the kind of bow I put on the deer when someone asks me to Tie one up for them.

These are not as big as their northern cousins but Jeff coordinates the hunters on my farm and he buries the heads when he butchers.

Here each hunter is allowed to take 3 does and 1 buck per year - - - he got the 13 point 2 years ago and the 8 point last year.

I require all hunters to take the maximum number of does possible or they are not allowed back the following year.
