SSAP

HAY MAKER said:
SSAP's bull is a whole lot closer to the ground, than this bull, boy I missed these lively debates while I was gone, and this was fun but I gotta head upstairs...............good luck & good nite.
PS no offense intended Miss amazed,I believe I stated my opinion correctly

I'm curious how you can tell SSAP's is lower to the ground? There is nothing to gage the height in either picture.

HAYMAKER,

That first bull you posted of yours, looks liek he has a lump on his rear leg, might want to look at that.

Anybody can post a pic of a "good" one, (especially when it is pulled from an AI catalog) but the ones that are home raised, don't need to be ridiculed by the masses. Especially haymaker.

what works for haymaker, might not be like the rest of 90% of North America.

that doesn't mean he needs to put down other's breeding programs!

Keep AI'ing Haymaker, you might get there someday!
Murgen just because someone posts a pic from an AI catalog doesn't mean they don't have home raised bulls they are proud of . Why don't you just ask haymaker to post one of his home raised bulls?

and Thank You everyone, for your appreciation; all 4 pages worth!

Haymaker - have you ever thought about going into marketing and advertising ....

Yes I have, but with all I have going on right now its gonna hafta wait  .............good luck

LOL @ those lumps...yeap I'm thankin that bull needed em too. Most bulls that I've ever seen need em.

Man.....some of you just amaze me, a fella states his opinion about somethin, in all honesty. And you immediately make a big deal out of it and accuse him of stirrin the pot. Make a general observation about a bull, and ya'll chew his ears off for it. There's alot of ya'lls critters that won't work down here in the south. For whatever reasons. Is it against the law to state that fact? We hafta have eared cattle down here, that will deal with the heat, humidity, bugs etc. Just because it's different doesn't mean it's wrong. It means that we too are using what works in our area, just like you all are doin the same thing. Well I guess I shouldn't say we "hafta" use eared cattle, but if we didnt, they'd not perform werth a dern for us.

Jersey, it wasn't the opinion that appears to have bothered most people, but the way he put it. "I hope you're not too proud of that bull" I believe are the words, as though it was some scruffy looking piece of junk. Where I come from, the way he put it would be an insult. Perhaps maybe we're just better mannered up here than Haymaker is?

Perhaps SSAPs bull wouldn't work in South Texas scrub, sage, and cactus, but its still certainly a bull to be proud of, and would work in any herd in the Northern US and Canada. Those long legged, pencil gutted animals that Haymaker posted wouldn't work up here. They'd freeze to death in the first winter, and all that space under their bellies isn't worth many dollars when they go to market.

BTW, Haymaker, I've been to a few US honky tonks. You guys got nothin' that remotely compares to the Zoo in La Ronge. You'd best start workin' out or somethin'....

I stand by what I posted, treat folks with respect that deserve it,I believe everyone that is reading this can see that ?...............good luck

I'm sure a man of your good breeding would realize that everyone especially ladies on here deserves respect-or is it different in Texas? The old adage 'If you can't say something nice-don't say nothing at all still works. I'm sure it was a temporary lapse on your part after all we do have your garantee of civility-I know yopu'd never go back on your word and lapse in to that previous vulgar behavior.

Rough country in the Hill country of Texas. Heck their are bull like that running in rougher country then texas all over western North America.

Whether you agree on the usefulness of that bull for you particular area Haymaker had no need to tell SSAP she had no reason to be proud of him. As you Texans should be able to see that cattlemen and woman from all over NA think he is a good looking bull. Maybe Texans just aren't used to see bulls of that quality.

S.S.A.P that's a heck of a good bull that any astute cattleman in North America can see-amazing how some depth of body can make a bull look smaller framed. As for Brangus cattle they winter fine up here-I have a few Brangus bucking bulls get through it fine.

Bulls004.jpg

Here's a coming two year old Brangus rodeo bull of ours-he wintered good on snowballs and promises as you can see lol. Doesn't matter if he can pee over a cactus or not all he's got to do is fling off cowboys.

Well dumb 'ol me.... It really looked like it was a part of a leg lol.  Now I feel like an idiot. lol. It just elended in there so well, it looked like there was a fluid in his knee joint like what happened to one of our bulls.

EXACTLY BMR,theres rough land all over, our river land and DJL's land,BMR,your lands on the rough side too,we'd be proad to run a bull like that, nothing wrong at all with that bull, and absolutly no reason to pick a person's bull out of a bunch posted. The funny thing is none of those Texas bulls would last a day in our country, thats the friggin point,EVERYONE runs what works in thier land and in thier conditions...its been proven time and time again on here.
