This white critter stuck out like a sore thumb in my neighbor's herd. I have no idea where the goat came from, and I doubt if my neighbor knows anything about it either.

This gentleman will soon turn 88 years old. Up until four years ago he still got horseback and roped calves. For several years, I hauled my old Tom Cat horse along for him to use at several brandings each spring. They made a hard-working team and brought a lot of calves to the branding fires.

Good pics there, Soap. As always, making one of my office days a whole lot easier to stomach.

I drove by the Spearhead two weeks ago or so and saw the real-life version of Saddle Soap. (That's a Soapweed in the saddle  ) Also spied Peach Blossom, Kosmo Kid and Saddle Tramp. Somebody was pulling the trailer so I can't say exactly which ones I truly saw. It was a little hard to dissect at 60 mph. Darn, it was real tough for me not to stop and say hello. I was on a schedule such that I couldn't afford the time to stop. Figured it wouldn't be polite to just pull over, say hello and rush right off again. You were putting the cows through the gate right near the highway, at least it looked that way anyhow.

Never fear, I'll be getting by your place again before long and I'll give some warning so we can have a friendly visit. Things looked pretty good out in your neck of the woods and lots of places that I drove through on my big circle.

Nice pics as always, Soapweed. Keep up the good work on snapping bale handlers too; different models offer lots of good ideas for building one.

Do you have a secret to posting pictures fast and easy? I don't think I have enough patients to upload all the photos you do! :D

Franklins grandson recently returned from Iraq (two tours I think). We got together with him and his folks, and some others (just down the road at my folks) the other day. Glad he's home safe.
