First full sunny day in three weeks, we sure enjoyed it. Water was dripping from anything above ground from 11:00 AM to dark.

There is a Grand Opening at the Grain Bunk Restaurant here every day.
We serve any creed or colour.

We need to get steers split off as the heifers are starting to cycle like crazy.

Looked like a beautiful day at the Grain Bunk Cafe. :-)

The sun is going to shine here today, for the first time after several overcast days. Somehow, the pilot light got turned off, so there is light but no heat. :( Last night at ten o'clock the thermometer read 21 degrees above zero. Just a little bit ago, it was 9 below zero, so the temperature fell 30 degrees in the eight overnight hours. The wind is whooping it up a bit, too, and it is pretty doggoned cold out. 8) :(

I have hardly seen my cows for the last 2 weeks. I hope they look as good as yours when the sun comes out here. :-)

Cattle are lookin' good, in fact, lookin' really good.

It is 8 below here right now. We have not had much sun for a long time
and Mr. FH just said we've had snow cover for 70 days now.

The snow is hard to walk on, it will barely hold you up and then
you break through. There are coyotes right up from the house
trying to find mice, I suppose. I actually feel sorry for them.
(The coyotes, not the mice) :P .

Yes we had coyotes up around our trees here in the yard. One had mange really bad and didn't make the blizzard... We would find him curled up in the gound hay pile... Son found him later in some old straw in the trees.. Then on the way home from taking son to school I hazed one down the road in the caddy... His tail was left in the road as ya make the corner....

critters are looking good gcreek :D when are those calves going to pay their tab?

Thanks. Right now it's looking like May 6th in Williams Lake. Unless this market spikes before then. We will likely keep a bunch of replacements back, haven't decided what to do with the really light calves but they will probably go.
