Wonderful set of pictures, Soap!
Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving Day with us. How many were
there? I could count 14, but I'm sure there were more than that.

Where were the Potter family performing?
I never tire of listening to them.

That 706 tractor sure brought back memories. That's the first bigger
tractor we ever had and I ran it more than all the others put together.
I told Mr. FH I was going to buy one someday...

For Thanksgiving, along with a Turkey breast, I fixed a BBQ brisket,
and it was delicious. First time I had tried one, but I found a good recipe
that called for Liquid Smoke, since it wasn't nice enough outside to cook
it on the grill.

Those grandkids, they are getting to the age where they are really a ton
of fun!

There were 34 people for Thanksgiving at Peach's mother's house. This included nine kids age five and under.

The Potter family performed yesterday afternoon at the Inland Theatre in Martin, South Dakota. Even though the population of Martin is less than 1100 people, it is the largest city in the United States that isn't on a railroad or a navigable waterway, hence the name "Inland" for its theater.

The 706 is a very nice tractor with only about five hundred hours. It is for sale, and located in Rapid City. I would be more interested in it if it had a wide front end.

Was that a gas tractor, or diesel? 500 hours? Was that on a new engine?
What were they asking for it, if I may ask.

Years ago we put a wide front end onour old International 'H' tractor.
That was after the meat butcher in Wyoming came to the ranch to butcher a beef for us.
The beef was part Holstein and BIG!! The old butcher had been drinking and when he went
to load the dead steer on the farmhand on the H, he got it chained too close to the edge of the farmhand.
When he backed out of the corral, he turned the (narrow) front end as far as possible. The steer started swinging and OVER
went the tractor! I never saw an old guy move that fast in my life! Luckily,
he wasn't hurt. Booze does that sometimes, you know. Anyway
the brand inspector was there and we tipped the tractor back over on it's
wheels......none the worse for wear.....but we did put a wide front end on it later on...

It's a gas tractor, with less than five hundred hours on its original engine. The seller has it priced at $7500, and it's probably sure worth the chips.

wonderful pic's Soapweed, nothing like a good old family feast, a lot to be thankful for

Sparky's hat exhumes a lot of character

where do you find a tractor today with only five hundred hours and a loader for only 7500$ a steal of a deal, i'm sure you could find a wide front end at a wreckers if you really wanted to

Here's hoping you had a great American Thanksgiving. The pictures sure seem to support that idea. Glad to see you have gotten some moisture as I am sure you were due.

Seeing your grandchildren makes me think of our young one. My 14 month old daughter has taken up dancing lately but along with that has come spininng. This leads to a dizzy baby, that although is amusing to watch, is rather dangerous around any type of furniture. No wrecks yet, but a few close calls. She just loves to start bouncing at the first sound of any music in the house.

Great pictures, wonderful family and terrific scenery shots pf the badlands.

The IHC 706 with the loader and narrow front end reminds me of our old Allis Chalmers WD with the same features. It laid over on its side more than once in its illustrious career. Set it back up and it was always good to go again!

Your grand daughter is level 10+++++ beautiful... One of the most beautiful I have ever seen....

Your grand son is DARLING and will be a heart breaker....

You are truly blessed.

The pic of the horses in the dark with the moon behind is worthy of a painting....

Oh man Soap, I can relate to the relatives for thanksgiving this year.. After my surgery I has a spinal fluid leak at the top of my incision. So my folks came to the rescue and came and stayed for a few days... Was a blast once they seen that I was not going to bite the dust.. Dad and Mom are 87 and 76.... Mom made a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and my Birthday was also celebrated.. Dad teased me about calling my horse Lemon instead of Limit which I took the bait... Old fart... :D  Was wonderful and so thankful for my family...
