There still patches of ice and snow on the meadows, but allot has melted the last 2 days. Went out side about 1 this morning after hearing a truck idling. It had left but the frogs were singing. We call them peepers as they are only about an inch long.
South slopes of the hills are bare but the north slopes are packed still.
Been shearing last xouple afternoons into evening.... hope to get finished today, Storm supost to move in rain today andsnow tomorrow, got the calf shed pulled up and opened some other sheds up so they can get out of the storm.

The sound of those spring peepers is the sweetest music of the year, to my ears anyway.

I love the sounds of spring, it's such a nice change from ravens, magpies, coyotes and wolves as the only source of wild music.
Nice to go out checking cows at night and hear the creek running for the first time too. Makes a guy feel like he's gonna make it.
