It is a "pleasant" 96 degrees here. Nice 20 mph "blast furnace" southerly breeze.
To top it off, we got invaded a few days ago, by some very annoying little black flies. They don't bite but they get in your ears, eyes and nose.
Kinda takes all the "fun" out of fixing fence.
I'm done for the day. Heading to my suumer lair(basement) for a nice nap until it cools off and the flies F-off.
It's no fun being poor, but it is pretty good to be your own boss. :) :-)

I should do the same, it's cool and raining here, good napping weather

Lord, I HATE trying to sleep in the heat....the heat wipes me out and makes me sleepy, but getting a good sleep is danged near impossible...probably the reason why i have the windows open at night..let in the cool night breeze!! Hope your basement was cool enough to let you catch a few winks!!! :D

I just may have to put that at the bottom of my pages now! Great quote!

Use it if you like, Jinglebob. :)

Maybe we could change it into one of those "priceless" things.......

Fat cattle.......... 75 cents/pound.
Diesel...............4 dollars/gallon.
Taking a nap in the middle of the day without getting fired.......priceless.
:D :D

Lilly, No these flies don't have a red spot. They look like a regular fly, and are about 1/4 the size. We've had them other years as well. People say they come up from the river. The good thing is they are usually only around for a week or so. :)

Tim
We got those damn lil flies too, they jsut drive a fella crazy.
Hows the moisture situation down there? Drying out like crazy up here, everytime a cloud looks like it may rain, it takes off to the north...
We ve been buying up hay and stockpiling it jsut incase we end up in a full blown "DROUGHT"..... :(
