Top 25 - Week Two

his advantage is playing in a very weak conference....kinda like how Randy Moss stood out in the MAC... but B1G / MAC ...not a lot of difference

Doubtful. He's arguably the best running back in the nation this season.

Against arguably questionable competition, that is............... Let's see what happens when he faces some real competition.

Wait! What? There's none on the remaining schedule?

P.S. That was some fine running against the Mighty McNeese State Cowboys and the Florida Atlantic Fiddly Farts.

Advantage? There are eleven guys on the other team doing all they can to stop him. And you are saying a so called weak conference is an advantage to the guy? You are nuckin' futs if that is an advantage. Conference has not one thing to do with size, speed, strength, athletic ability, or natural desire.

Ameer is a legit Heisman contender. He's got the numbers, despite having the "advantage" of a "weak conference". Who's YOUR legit Heisman contender?

Oh, that's right. Like a lot of things that great teams acquire throughout the years, you don't have any.

Auburn has a running back with more yards than your Muslim so far this year against "Arguably" better competition.

I would take the Waters / Lockett combo over your Ackmed any day....

Waters is ranked #41. 37 carries, 193 yards, 10.7 yards/carry.
NU QB Armstrong is ranked #40. 18 carries, 193 yards, 10.7 yards/carry.

Jiggsy, our quarterback has the same yards as your #1 guy, with half the carries! Smell the coffee!

OK, Mike... your guy is ranked #8 with 42 carries, 289 yards, and 6.9 yards/carry.
Ameer is ranked #11, with 38 carries, 286 yards, and 7.5 yards/carry.
Your guy has 3 more total yards on 4 more carries. If Ameer is true to form, 4 more carries @ 7.5 yards/carry, he'd have 30 extra yards. So saying your guy is better is quite a stretch. But for now he's ahead...by 3 yards. Jig's mind, however, has left the building.

You said playing weaker teams didn't make a difference. :???:

When a team plays another team that can stop the the run they are always shorter runs or they play a passing game. weaker teams that can't stop the runs they have more yards.

Even a football idiot like me can figure that out.

I have lived in Nebraska most of my life. Attended UNL, and I HATE Nebraska football. They haven't played an honest preconference game in so long they wouldn't know what to do if they ever came up against a real team before conference play.
Oh, and don't even try to get any help when there is a Husker game, everyone in this state thinks they have to cheer the on. Way back when, when they recruited in state, it was fun to watch guys I knew, and they won national championships too.

I wasn't the one bragging about my guy being a "Legit" Heisman candidate.

Just showing you one that is ranked higher while playing stronger opponents, but doesn't worry about the "Heisman" thingy. That comes much later in the season............
