It should be a requirement that everybody has to cut out at least one belly nut before they're allowed to use a bander. One of the good deep ones - the kind that makes you look like a necrophiliac serial killer by the time you're done. 
On the larger cutting bulls - the ones that are bad to jump around in the chute - I've started trying to wear a tight leather glove on my left hand (I cut with my right) to grab the sack with. After it gets wet, it's easy to shake it off, so that still lets you use that hand to pull nuts or do the fine trimming on the fat, etc. Then just slip it back on before you do the next one.

A few times we made a lot of money fixing up other peoples mistakes. It is amazing how much others will give away by never learning to count. :wink:

Had 3 calves this year that I couldn't find the second one. Left them to cut at branding. Only found 2 on one of them. The other 2 are still intact. Not rocket science.
