hmmmm kinda sounds like we are all going to stand around and remember him ...
I for one am not nor will not stop praying untill I see anything in black and white.....
I will say LOL him and I started out as not very good friends. We did some exchanging of pms and things started to change. He has shown all here the best way to battle cancer. I am amazed at his possitive attitude and never stopping doing what you love. Reading each time he has done one of his dreams it gives me the courage to keep doing what I am doing. There have been times I wish I could have helped but I have never been in a position to offer any help , other than prayers.
OK grumpy old man we are waiting to hear what you have gotten yourself into ......and is that your stud at Stuckys I know some of your mares are there ...We read again your wanting when you grow up to do that.
I just got home from hospital yesterday spent another 8 days in there but we got some questions answered so am feeling a bit better. Such a lucky man to have the family and friends I do-the nurses at our local hospital are just awesome. I kind of swole up while in bed there so look pretty funny a skinny yellow guy waddling around in my hippo feet but I'll get that fixed quick. Ty shot a real nice buck a couple days ago-we headed out hunting two hours after I was home -I put a pic up when I got some knarly horns to hide behind. Thanks for everybody's concern I can still kicx butt I just have to stand on a rock to do it for awhile.
boy out of the hospital for 2 hrs and going hunting thats commitment or just hungry for something other than hospital food  whats your favorite deer rifle? best of luck NR both hunting and health wise
Good to hear you are out and about, Northern Rancher. Glad you have such a fine support crew of family and friends. The reason the nurses are so nice is because you are a commendable patient. It is wonderful that you can still kick butt, even if you have to stand on a rock. Sometimes we all just have to find a taller rock. Hang in there.
I wish I had a copy of the card my brother gave my Dad while he was in the hospital after having both legs amputated from diabetes. It consisted of an old guy on a hospital bed with a rifle and a nurse holding his IV in the back of a pickup. The guy told the nurse that in a few more years I don't reckon I will be able to go hunting anymore.
Jokes aside, good to hear from you again NR, the best wishes to you and good luck to Ty on the broncs.
Ty had a blind all set up and fussed over me prettty good-it felt prety sweet to be out in the fresh air with my son-I kept drifting off to sleep had swirly winds so never connected with the buck were after but it was all good. The only thing I can get on my feet is my old moosehide moccasins lol. Were hunting with a t/c muzzie right now but my go to rifle is a Browning 270. My middle girl Sara and I are gun shopping for her right now I'm going to try a 7mm/08 for her. When I was at the apex of my bloat on in hoospital I thought I might of popped a rib out getting out of bed-went in this A'M to see the chiro guy-turns out I had jumped two out of their track he put the crank on me and got them back-I sure hope he did anyways. Got chewed out for not coming in sooner lol. Going to try get out in the bush again tmorrow hopefully.
Kind of fresh out therer today so Ty and I glassed for the buck were after from the truck he has 12 x42 Vortex binos so you can back off aways. He came out with a half dozen smaller bucks. Ty and I button hooked a bit then stalked across the wind-he packed the muzzie and I tottered along behind with my shooting stick as a cane. We got within 160 of him but he was grazing out at an angle to me so I thought I would try him. I'm not sure if it was the fact I am in horrible shape-I hadn't walked a 1/4 mile in three months or just excited to be looking at the biggest whitetail buck I'd got to hunt but I got the quakies pretty bad. I shot right under his belly and got a scope smooch on top of it first one ever. Was pretty let down and Ty just said you kept taking me out when I was missing big deer I'll return the favour. Have a long season yet so can try and match wits with him again-the big ones don't come easy and he's a big one lol.
Well I'm sure you will get another chance at another big one and I've missed my share of them too but by golly that "scope smooch" is gonna cost you a bit of ribbing!
You were mean't to miss that one NR,the bigger one will cross your path next time.Glad to hear you are doing well, and able to go hunting with your son.
