When I got back to the house last night, my wife demanded that I take her out to some place expensive.

So, I took her to a gas station!!!!

Think about them one at a time BEFORE going on to the next one...IT DOES MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD, expecially the thought at the end.

1. Falling in love.

2. Laughing so hard your face hurts.

3. A hot shower.

4. No lines at the supermarket.

5. A special glance.

6. Getting mail.

7. Taking a drive on a pretty road.

8. Hearing your favorite song on the radio.

9. Lying in bed listening to the rain outside.

10. Hot towels fresh out of the dryer.

11. Chocolate milkshake. (or vanilla or strawberry or banana)

12. A bubble bath.

13. Giggling.

14. A good conversation.

15. The beach.

16. Finding a $20 bill in your coat from last winter.

17. Laughing at yourself.

18. Midnight phone calls that last for hours.

19. Running through sprinklers.

20. Laughing for absolutely no reason at all.

21. Having someone tell you that you're beautiful.

22. Laughing at an inside joke.

23. Friends.

24. Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you.

25. Waking up and realizing you still have a few hours left to sleep.

26. Your first kiss.

27. Making new friends or spending time with old ones.

28. Playing with a new puppy.

29. Having someone play with your hair.

30. Sweet dreams.

31. Hot chocolate.

32. Road trips with friends.

33. Swinging on swings.

34. Making eye contact with a cute stranger.

35. Making chocolate chip cookies.

36. Having your friends send you home-made cookies.

37. Holding hands with someone you care about.

38. Running into an old friend and realizing that some things (good or bad) never change.

39. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much desired present from you.

40. Watching the sunrise.

41. Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day.

42. Knowing that somebody misses you.

43. Getting a hug from someone you care about deeply.

44. Knowing you've done the right thing, no matter what other people think.

Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering to fly.

46. the smell of fresh, homemade bread and the way the butter melts into it!!
47. your child's breath of your face as they sleep next to you in the night

49. fresh peas out of the pod....out of your own garden
50. having your 17 year old son give you a hug before heading out for a night with friends....with his friends watching even!!!

51. Having a good colt drop his head and try to "cow " for the first time.

52. Seeing the Grand Canyon or Rocky Mountains for the first time.
 
53. listening to two owls talking back and forth on a dark night, with no planes, trains, or automobiles getting in the way.
54. Watching the sun come up on a slightly overcast day with all of the colors hoping to match God in your duties of the day.
55. Watching the sun go down, hearing the Killdeers, blackbirds and meadow larks singing the earth to sleep.
56. Watching the sun go down and knowing that you did your absolute best to make this world a better place than it was this morning.
57. Seeing your kid do the best that they could do at whatever they do, no matter if they win or lose, and be proud of their own effort.
58. Seeing your spouse happy about your lot in life, and knowing that they mean it.
 
59. Watching the combines rolling at dusk, the dust behind them changing the colors of the sunset to brilliant pinks, reds, and purples.

60. Watching calves play in the bright morning sun.

61. Sharing the simple things in life with the one you love.
 
62. having your teenager's friend call you to talk about their problems, knowing you tell them about life, knowing they at least LISTEN to your opinion (it's not THEIR parent's, if nothing else--even if it's essentially the same ). FWIW

62. The smell of bread baking in the oven
63. The smell of fresh sheets on the bed that have been hanging on the line in the coolness of the evening.
64. The smell of evergreen trees after a rain
65. The sight of melting snow. Means the storm is over and there is moisture.
66. Having your horse be a 'partner' on a long ride and not just a slave.
67. The loyalty of dogs.
68. A cow cooing to her calf.
69. Guys wearing slickers~because it is RAINING HARD.
 
71. The smell of new paint burning off hot exhaust on an ATV's maiden run. (Sorry, things were getting mushy) :wink:
 
71. The sound of the night hawk wwhhoooing at dusk.
72. The sound of the redwinged blackbirds at dawn. BRreeerr!
73. The emerald green of newly harrowed fields after some rain, the green smell of the fields.
74. Fixing fence and running into a HUGE herd of elk.
75. Seeing our first Cassins' finches show up for the summer.
76. Fixing fence on the top of a small mountain and to be able to see for miles, sun shining in my face, wind blowing softly.
77. Sitting on the back porch on a swing with my spouse (I love to do this after daylight savings time starts-my "extra" hour), talking about our future, our hopes, our dreams, or just sitting back and watching the birds eat from the bird feeders and listening to all the different kinds of birds talking to each other.
78. Going through the garden every day with my spouse to see what else is growing/budding.
79. Now, it is going through our little greenhouse and looking at what is germinating/growing.
80. Sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars on a clear night and picking out constellations with my spouse/kids.
 
81. The smell of fresh cut hay.
82.Knowing you saved a calf that was being born,that otherwise would have died.
83.Having your loved one smile at you,across a crowded room.
84.Putting that last swath,into the combine.
85.Finishing baling for another year.
86.Seeing the Mrs,after being a part for more then a day.
 
87. The squeak of a new saddle, and the fresh clean smell of new leather. (You don't know what you're missing, Cal.) :wink:

88. Having a horse go to bucking, and when the action stops, the amazed and relieved feeling of realizing you are still on top.
 
89. Having an absolutly rotten day, and out of the blue your best friend from high school calls, saying they had been thinking about you. And you pickup the conversation like it was 30 years ago.
90. The smell of fresh turned dirt.
91. Opening the door of the house and having the horses whinny at you every morning.
92. Loyalty of a good dog. No matter what......
 
94. Watching your loop fit perfectly from halfway across the corral.


95.Having your colt accept the first saddling.


96 The feeling of hanging your saddle on the rack after a long day.

and when i was younger.... school closed due to blizzard.
One i really liked was said earlier..... getting together with a fun and rowdy bunch of women friends :p
 
94.getting bucked off a horse and landing on your feet with the reins in your hand.(real fresh in my mind)

95.butterfly kisses from my youngest daughter

96.a thumbs up from my 5 year old son

97.making it through the mud hole without getting stuck.
 
94. having the dog just come up, lay his snout on your leg and stand there, waiting for your next move.

95. seeing the fingernail moon in the east, or having a full moon in the winter so bright that there's no need for headlights, AND, you make the first tracks down the road.

96. having your children appreciate (even Notice) any of the above..
