You gave me an idea for next year Jody. Our snow is mostly gone in the opens also.
How is the lambing going? 25% done here.
We missed your 73% calved in the first cycle by 1%. Still happy for how they bred under our range conditions.

been lambing 4 days and at 24 % with a 168 % lamb crop, just skinned a ldead twin and gave the ewe a bum off a ewe I had to kill that had trips and only the one lived.
one year lamb out in 17 days and that included 20 yearling ewes . most years those yearlings lamb for 3 cycles if they even lamb at all.

You are lambing more ewes than we are but we are 27% done in 5 days and at 190% crop. The lamb that was alive in the C-section died at 2 days. I guess the lamb that was dead inside made it toxic, not real sure if the ewe will survive yet. Did a good clean job with everything outside the ewe when I took the lambs but shock is pretty bad for a sheep to take.
I know we have a couple of yearlings bred for June 1, they will be a PITA.
Last year was 26 days to done.
