Mrs. Greg and the north folks left the door open again  :P ...5AM this morning the temp was 48 degrees, but the wind was already blowing--Now by 11AM the temp has dropped to 30 and the wind is howling 25-35 mph...Predicting gusts to 55...

Few snow flakes off and on- but the main amount is predicted to miss us, hitting you folks south and east of me again....But the predictions are for temps down to 10-15 below by the weekend....
I guess summer had to end sometime...

Get that door closed quick OT,I even got sent home from work this morning because with that wind came pouring rain, wind polished it,was like driving on a skating rink, not good!!!

Blowing like a banshee here, wind blowing dirt everywhere, not fun to be out in. There was snow on the ground this morning but it all blew away  Just glad we gathered bulls out of the cows yesterday!

It was sure cold this morning. I had to turn on the windshield washer and wash the frost off before I could see to drive. I may even need a jacket this evening while feeding. And yes we had to turn on the heater in the bedroom this morning to shower.
I think it is down in the 50's today.. Burrrrrrrrr Cold

Thats exactly what I was thinking too  Just came in from working on the door of my barn-- getting things ready for warming up those calves coming in March when it turns 20 below, if the prognosticators are right.... :(

Its snowing pretty good now- except all the snow is coming horizontally in the 30 mph winds... Visibility is less than 1/4 mile....Broke down and rolled the old girls out about 20 lbs of hay each out of the wind- as when the snow started pelting them they kind of quit grazing the flats...Now they say we could get an inch today....

Oh ya..rub it in why don't ya! We've got fair temps today, but the way the sky looks, it's gonna get windier and colder...Batten down the hatches!

Mrs. Greg and the Albertans ain't doing a very good job of keeping that nasty weather up north... :P The weather boys say we are about to get hit with an Alberta Clipper tonite/tomorrow... :( Have a winter storm watch out and are predicting up to 6 inchs of snow and 30-40 mph winds- starting tonite and going thru til Friday....

I'm supposed to go 60 miles out in the Missouri breaks early tomorrow morning to look at a couple of loads of cull cows.....Might end up "camped" out there for the winter if this thing hits.....I better call Duke and make sure he's got a stock of sipping whiskey on hand...

Well today is a different story. The temperature is 43 with mixed rain and sleet. Not much wind but dang it's cold. Everything is wet and sloppy. I still have to put out hay today too. It is days like to day that a cab tractor would be nice.

Below 70F is COLD to me!!

Definitely nasty around here-- been snowing and blowing all morning--2-3 inches of snow....Looked at and loaded 4 loads of cull cows 60 miles out in the Missouri Breaks this morning... Not Nice....Half the time it was just tough seeing the cows when the wind got howling...

Luckily the temp is not too bad-- 28 degrees, but when we came back in its sticking to the highways and they are getting slick...Those truckers were not looking forward to driving thru this all the way to SD....

Hopefully Georgia ends up with more snow than us- as I'd like to see those cows graze awhile longer.....

They're saying 30 below wind chills tonite-and temps Sunday nite 15-20 Below --BRRRRRRRRRRRR...
