Light Rain and Breezy

-13°F

Checked the NWS website a while ago and that is how they described our current conditions. :???: :???: I didn't know it was possible to rain when it was below zero and I didn't realize 30-40 mph winds were described as "breezy".

Our power's gone of momentarily a few times today, hoping we don't lose it. After the last storm some parts of our area were without for up to 13 days. We're sort of on the same line as the cell tower, and it seems they're pretty diligent about making sure it's going. During the last storm a hot wire broke and was laying on one of our loaders, which also caused the tower to go dead. Supposed to be -26 tonight, which is an improvement from the previous forecast of -31.

Well they dont even bother talking about the winds untill they get to 40 mph around here and yeap thats breezy. Its windy when your getting past by the tumbleweeds and your driving 70 mph.
We are at only -6 I really dont want to know what the wind chill is ...I do know I have been inside for about an hour and my face is still numb.
I got all excited and went back in the barn telling everyone it was snowing after they got done rolling their eyes and getting up they told me that if I call that snow I am crazy ...well it was falling from the sky and you could see it, ok it didnt last long and didnt even dust the ground LOL

LOL I don't know how many times I've said we have Spring Summer Fall and Mud. But so far this year it's not been real wet. We could use the rain for the rye grass pastures. Man they sure are green.

Been playin' on this computer so long i had'nt looked out the window,it's really start to snow good out there  .Time to turn in,looks to be a good amount of snow removal tommorrow.

I was pleasantly surprised this morning as it is only half as cold as predicted. Can hardly believe I'm happy to see -10! The other good thing is I think the worst of the wind has passed us too.

It hurts to just read this.

Just cranking the fire up now,and getting the coffee on.Sure glad we don't generally get into the -degrees range probably sittin' at about +18 here.cold enough when your day will start out with tractor hydralics problems. :mad:by the way i don't know how it is in you folks country but as soon as it started to snow my fire pager just started blowin' up.Semi pullin' a Diesel load jackknifed lots of roll overs etc, lots of flatlanders drivin' to quick.

You might wish you hadn't. Getting rid of that extra coffee is kind of a cold proposition on a much below zero morning such as this. :-)

I have that problem anyway-just like a little kid...Won't have to go for hours until I get all the pants and carharts on  Wife says its all in my mind :o Now you guys will have me thinking about it all day... :(

And it looks like I'll need to have another cup now- as I couldn't get the truck started right away...So cold the key wouldn't turn...I had to take Grandmas hair dryer to it to warm up the ignition lock so I could fire it up...
Beautiful winter on the Great American Desert.. :?
