First 3 weeks of the new year, snow, snow, more snow and bloody cold. Today, it RAINED off and on all morning while I was inspecting feeders heading to Ontario. By noon I was at a feedlot checking fats heading to Cargill, and the sun was shining, we had our jackets off and it's +5 C.
Unreal. Cows are happy though; snow's sinking fast and they're back to rustling for swaths. Cheap feeding this week, although if we get a hard freeze we're gonna have one heckuva crust. The joys of feeding in the North country.
