What's the weather like at your place?

Minus 5 again this morning. Had a new calf yesterday morning. Good thing he was born yesterday when it only 22. Seems to be doing fine this morning. Sale yard purchased cows preg checked by the sale yard vet. Hard telling when the calves will be born. According to the brand this cow and 6 other came together from Wallowa. That should make them use to snow and cold.

We had 12 inches of fallen snow. It settled some but I don't know what it settled to. Then on Sunday it went to 41 degrees. This morning at the crack of dawn it was 39 with a light rain. The snow melted and the field is a slopy mess. I had a new calf yesterday and another one today. Much better to have new calves in 40 degrees than in minus 5.

It was 64 ABOVE here today and is forecast to be 66 on Tuesday.

CRAZY!
That is crazy! It's super muddy here. Finally shipped our heifer calves, had to trail them 3 miles to the neighbors as we can't even get pickups and trailers in and out of here let alone a semi. The heavy cows are in the pasture the pairs go to....guess we are calving out there. There are 84 1st calvers and a few other cows in the calving lot.

The ski resort here only had 2 feet of snow the first of the year. Then they got 4 feet more in about 10 days or so. Foggy here this morning but blue sky above the fog as it is burning off.
