can you tell us a bit about them?

What is it you wanna know ?remember a picture is worth a 1000 words :D
good luck

PS I will tell you this..............they were made by a well known saddle maker
That most of us have heard of,including you,and no it aint that big woman you were tryin to get me to wrassle :D

They look good, both of 'em. Seems like the bottom one would set down
on a horse a bit more. Does it have quarter horses bars, by
chance? The first one looks to me like it would fit a horse with more
wither and the other one looks like it might be for a wider type horse.

Are you going to like the stirrup leathers bein' on the outside of
the fenders as in the second picture?

I like the 'Idaho twist' on the stirrups in the first picture. Maybe the
other one has that as well, it's just that you can't see that part.

You need to ride them to know which one YOU like best.
We can't do that obviously. :P Which one has the narrowest
seat?

Try them and then tell us which one you liked the best.

Good luck!!

I like the design on # 2 but I like the way # 1 is built, both have quarter horse bars,I like the twisted stirrups, let a saddle by Big bend Saddlery get away from me with twisted stirrups, was probably the best saddle I will ever own.
good luck

If they are built by the same maker and they both have the same tree. Follow FH's advice and buy the one that feels the best.

A picture might be worth a 1000 words but 10 hours in the saddle tells the WHOLE story.

The only way you can choose is for you to sit in both of them.
You asked which I would buy...I said neither since I am a forward sitting rider and both of those saddles would be painful to ride any length of time in. You have to pick the saddle that fits YOU.

If your wanting to show saddles for a saddlemaker cool, does she make one for a forward sitting rider ....more in the lines of a hunt seat saddle?

I dont think they make a size bigger than 16.

Do you mean one with forward hung stirrups? is Monte Foraman Balanaced ride?

Check out the Montana Horseman school. http://www.montanahorseman.com/index.html.htm

I think you ladies are just hard to please, here you aint even straddled the saddle and you are already complainin about sore butts and withers :D
good luck

What's with 'you ladies' stuff? When did I complain about anything. :P

The front of those saddle is just the way Wades are made. I'm thinking
those are 7/8 double rigging and you can set them back a bit.
Some Wades are 3/4 double and I've even seen center fire rigging
on them. They are different looking, but the guys that ride them,
love them.

I'll say one thing, Haymaker. Those saddles can be hard to stay in.
You better get some bucking rolls. Mr. FH loves the Wades but he
has ridden other saddles so long, he just couldn't get comfy in
the Wades. He wanted to and he tried, and maybe it was because
he wasn't riding for a long time every day at that point in his life;
but he gave up on them. The guys that ride a long ways every day,
sure seem to favor the wades.

Good luck.

 You might be right.. 8) I'll go down and take a picture of my saddle.. I love it...

P.S.

With all the snow......( the guys drove over the fence with the geo!! )Our fences are covered over and the bulls where out. So we brought all the bulls and my saddle horses home.. The horses where glad to be home.. Usually when they come home, it's like the last one home is a rotten egg. Not so yesterday.. They just lined out head to tail single file and dog trotted to the correl... I caught them all this morning and grained them.... I think they all appreiciated it.....

Here is my saddle that I ride.. I know it's a girlie saddle but I can keep my fat butt in it..

This is what I rode when I was a real cowgirl.. Even colts!

100_2802saddle6.jpg

My dad bought me a sissy saddle with white buckstitchin and I hated it.. So I latched on to his..(First one saddled gets to ride what ever the saddle.) And dad rode the sissy saddle with the white buckstitchin...

I think buckin rolls ruins the looks of a Wade saddle, but I will say wade saddles and green horses dont mix to well.
besides who said you were complainin,is your name ladies :D :D
good luck

Those are good lookin saddles Katrina what ever it takes to stay saddled all day,is a good one
good luck

I don't like either one either! :) Probably not good grammar. They both look too wide in the fork and seat, but then I'm a girl too. Good luck choosing!

Yep Katrina that is the type of saddle I like-- some swells and cantle...The only thing I would change on that is the horn...Those tall "teamroping" dally horns have caused some bad injuries with several I know- especially broken pelvis's when the horse blew up and they ran them up their rear in the ensuing melee...
