Well, its just not true at all. And, I just need to talk about it to people who have some distance, family is great, but they're just too cuddly sometimes. And I can't just post this on facebook, cause there are too many people who need to be told more personally than that FIRST.

Some of you may know that I had a minor surgery a couple weeks ago. Well, it was to remove a fibroid, that was causing me problems. So far as I understood, it wasn't much of a deal, kind of a cosmetic type thing. Well, as doctors do they always send things in for testing, and this one came back BAD .

She told me that I have cancer, I guess, as far as it goes, it sounds like I got the best of a bad deal and it should be very treatable. But no matter cancer is cancer and now as hard as I am trying it's hard not to freak out and have a panic attack. Now, I have to wait to hear from the cancer clinic what the treatment is and when it will happen. It could be as simple as surgery to remove the problem area/s or as dramatic as full out radiation therapy. She thought it would be on the simple end of things. I don't know how long these things will take up here, but I sure hope things happen fast!!

As healthy as I feel, it is really hard to come to grips with the idea that I have something as serious as Cancer!! That and the fact that I have no real risk factors, no family with it, and I've always been a good girl as far as drinking, drugs and smoking......

We're all here for you. I'm sure you'll have it beat in no time and in a year or so it'll just be like a bad dream you had....

I would;nt worry about a little cancer,I have had skin cancer for years, burn em off and back out in the hay fields to grow some more, did;nt really like em gettin on my face, women like me to stay good lookin :D
good luck & Happy New Year

Hay Randi,
Sorry to hear about that. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mom went through breast cancer after we lost dad and it was a surgery and chemo. She beat it with that & oppted out on the radiation. The hardest part was probably on the girls especially when grama lost her hair. But they did help her shave it all off so that it would be less of a mess :D :D

Hope all you need is surgery that would probably make it a little easier.

Keep your head up and a smile on your face and you will always make everyone else happy

Take care, D'

Randi, I can get really wrapped up in problems. We all can and do. We forget the one who will take those problems. When I finally remember to ask God for his help, it's always amazing how quickly I feel better. Ask him for help. It will make a difference. We're all here for you, just like you would be for any of us.

Just look at it as one of life's adventures-stay positive-your going to meet some pretty awesome people I know I have. Remember no matter how it goes there's somebody else having a tougher day than you. Maybe we'll end up at the clinic together-have a good old visit.

Here we have to go to Costco to meet the neighbors, in Saskatchewan you have to go to the Clinic. :? Keep up the positive attitude Randi, the Ranchers at Ranchers are there for you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, randiliana. Grab on to the hands of the Good Lord, and ask Him for guidance. He will help you through this deal. Your friends from Ranchers.net will do all we can for you, too.

The most important thing that guarantees success beating cancer is to catch it early. You've done that.

The next most important thing is to have a good attitude and the support of friends and family. You've got that.

You're already set up with these advantages, and they'll work for you. Treatments for this sort of thing have come a long long way, and the success rate is high. If you do what the doctors tell you and keep an optimistic outlook, you'll do just fine. :)

Wishing you the best. No matter what anyone says about health care it is filled with wonderful and caring people who know what they are doing.
We will be thinking of you.

Early detection is the key, the correct treatment, support from friends and family, a positive attitude no matter what ( always easier said than done) and last most certainly not least, Faith in God (pray for his healing hand and guidance). That's the advice my mom would give, she is a cancer beater not just a survivor. She beat ovarian cancer in 1987 and breast cancer in 2004. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
