Well the ole boy gave us a great couple of days. Early mornings, excited kids, and lots and lots of miles and experience. We trailed f-i-l's cattle from his pasture south to the highway, through Vetal and stopped for the night at the Graham place, then west and south to Tuthill and on south...
Hard to believe it's been 5 years since we moved from Lacreek Valley up to north of Martin at my folks place, but it has and I don't think I've posted since then. Anyway, had a great visit today with Soap and thought I might catch some of you up on our lives (not much exciting lol )

k_ranch bangs vaccinated our heifers last week and there are some pics of our steers too, as we have yet to send them to market. This is just 12 days out from weaning. We are really tickled with our babes this year.

They pitched hay in wagons, brought the hay to the stack, put as much hay as would stay into a loop of rope that went up over the stack and was attached to a team of horses on the other side, who pulled the hay in the loop...

Before we went to Rapid Tuesday, we took the bulls up to the summer pasture. They are in the middle of a prairie dog town at the only watering spot, now so the grass in the back represents better'n that under their hooves. :wink:
