    Why the downward slide?

We are on the side of the line with the low dollar. We are down around .75/US dollar. I guess that we would be that much worse off were we at par.

    Why the downward slide?

If the recent spike in cattle prices was a direct result of the law of supply and demand, why then are we seeing the current slide in prices? Have we found another five hundred million cattle in North America we were unaware of? Has demand dropped off because of high prices? Have those...

I'm glad that the shortest day of the year only lasts a day. :D The sun rises here at 9:21AM and sets at 4:21 PM. I think where Silver lives the day may even be a little shorter. Now we move into "As the days get longer the cold gets stronger" season. :? At any rate, Merry Christmas and a...

I agree that the funeral isn't for the one who has crossed the great divide but rather for the friends and family left behind. It took courage and conviction to hold a funeral for your Dad. My condolences.

    As seen on TV

As long as you don't try to restrict the steam, a relief valve is unnecessary. It would be the same as boiling water in a kettle on the stove. No restriction... No problem.

    As seen on TV

I made a steamer from an old fire extinguisher and leave it hung on the fence by the water bowl. Pour in a couple of quarts of water and a tiger torch provides the heat. An old air hose off the shop compressor directs the steam where needed which is usually just below the ground surface in the...

    losing Lusk

My brother and I had flown to Tulsa Oklahoma, then caught a bus over to Henryetta, where we were eager young students, enrolled in the bull riding school put on by Jim Shoulders. Our budgeting skills at the time were somewhat wanting and we soon found ourselves without any cash. The solution...
