Do any of you own or know anyone that uses McCormick tractors?Are they good,bad or just a good tractor to stay away from?Looking at a xtx 165 but i don't know much about McCormicks.

I just traded my br7090 baler and it was a excellent baler,bought a new new holland RB560 baler to replace it.If your looking at buying a brand new baler i would seriously consider the Rb first if your talking about buying a used Br, if it was anything like my old one i would reccomend it.

Why do you hate the floor chain?Last 1 had for 7 years and never had a problem with the chain,just traded it because i wanted to buy the shortcut version.

I checked the length of my hay this morning after i put it through my haybuster 2655 shortcut and it would defiantly go through a 3" screen.I normally only chop it that fine,when i'm feeding alfalfa that has got to coarse.My 4' tall swathed greenfeed oats would probably be comparable to a 6" screen.

How do they compare against a haybuster 2655 shortcut?

I'll 2nd that br 7090,best baler i've ever owned i sure don't miss the vermeer balers compared to this baler.Baling 36 foot swaths raked together of heavy hay at 7 mph and that baler never miss's a beat!

Talk him out of a manual transmission,he might enjoy it for the first while,but after a while it becomes a pain having to shift all the time.

Has any of you ever changed the main shaft that drives the 2nd set of stuffer fingers,from the first one,it's the splined shaft?I got the old one out,but it was getting wore had a little extra room,but not that way with the new parts.

I know my neighbour bought a 688 new,and he likes to cowboyize his equipment pretty hard and no maintance.And he still owns it and hasn't killed it yet,so they got to be one tough baler.

When you got a lot of hay land to cover,and you are a one man show,the last thing i want is a break down,thats why i run new equipment.

I'm starting to wonder how i'm going to put up any decent feed this year,last year when it forgot how to stop raining i had some of it custom put up as silage.This year i'm wondering about maybe buying a bale wrapper,have any of you ever used one?Good,bad?
