    Have I been hacked?

If you go to ''how to post a picture'' it indicates that you can use this site instead of an outside source.

    Been away a long time

I liked the picture of him when the calf was stuck in the round bales in the bale yard. He suited up with the kids hockey face mask and guards, so he could wade in the crack to get the calf!

    Been away a long time

I often wonder about his family also. He was always up for the scrap when he was fighting cancer and I do not think you could find anyone prouder of his family.

I would second that request, and I would like a windmill picture for desert!

    Yak Traks

There are several companies that make something similar to slip over your boots. Browse the ice-fishing section at the sports store and they can be found. Here in the Midwest they usually order only one time for ice-fishing equipment, so they should be purchased early.

Subway to cut antibiocs in its meats

It is all ''perception''. From your thread title, I was curious when they started using antibiotics in the first place. It is against the law to have it in the meat, so I wonder if the new supplier will break the law also? This is like cereal makers posting labels that they are using non GMO oats!

A River Runs Through It (or at least a small creek)

Thanks for the ride Soapweed. I always enjoy going along on a ride with you.

    How`s your weather today?

March first brought us a foot of snow! Chance of ice tonight and rain tomorrow. It could be interesting if it rains enough to melt all of the snow. I am hoping the lion eats the groundhog and gives the lamb a chance. We had a decent winter until Feb. arrived, then we got it all in one month!

    Spring????

I just saw this post. Mount Vernon is 135 miles straight south of me. Used to stop in when we went bass fishing in the southern part of the state. Does he hunt ducks or upland birds? He should have good luck with both in that area.

    Spring????

The weather underground said we set 2 records this week for record lows down to minus 14 and record low, high, temps ,that date back to 1898. These are the lowest temps our area has ever recorded this late in the season. December and January were both nice months.

From the book HI, STRANGER! by Joy J. Fairhead

When I was small (in the fifties) I can remember being cold when we were doing chores. Modern clothing and footwear has to be the most under appreciated thing in the winter!!! Frozen feet in front of the stove were never any fun.

My journal entry for Monday, January 8, 1968

''Davenport'' made me smile and think of my long departed father. That and many times the car was the ''machine''. It is funny sometimes when terms change over the years but people use the old ones from time to time. :)

    The Meat Industry's Worst Nightmare

I think it could have some effect but not much. Go to town and see what the folks look like, I doubt if they have been following a DIET plan of any kind. Price is still the main thing that curtails consumption.

    A lack of comprehension

The sign says ''guard dog'' and no mention of police training. How would a person be charged with anything when you have this sign on the vehicle? Are you training on contract for law enforcement?

    Can someone splain me something?

They are checking the yield. They do a kernel count by counting the rows on the ears. Then they take an average and multiply by the plants per acre.

Some questions on the Bundy Battle

If you would look at the preamble to the constitution of the state of Nevada it explains that the land is indeed Federal property from the time the state was formed.
