    Ok now I get it same as our blackleg shot some farmers give it at 2 or 3 days old and turn them out to pasture vet says it wont work because calves are too young but they figure it is better than nothing and they seem to have good luck so far.

    Pardon my ignorance but what is a c and d shot ? We give our calves a scour vaccine at birth along with a d e selenium all by mouth and they get blackleg at a month when they go to pasture never seem to lose any by overeating.

    Here we use Udder Butter comes in a square tin probably the same as bag balm works good but like you say wear gloves with it on over night like you say not good for night life but later on with soft hands.....

    Overrun with Jack Rabbits

    Oh man that's bad wildlife can sure take its share of feed. We don't have rabbit problems but have our share of deer and elk that cause problems didn't think of rabbits causing damage. Could do with some of that good hay here if wasn't such a long haul.

    All fuel supply companys mix in oct good till-25 and after -40 and I always put a additive called polar plus and run 0-40 oil in my feeding tractor wish I had a heated shop.

    Just wondering how things are going in southern states is the drought still going on or is there some relief ? See on news that there is some really wicked storms and twisters hope everyone is alright. The weather has been good here in the north just cold last week -38c but has warmed -7 this week.
