We have been a multiplier herd for Jorgensen's for about 20 years and I always like looking at Risse's pens of bulls. They really do a nice job. They always buy out of the front end of the bull sale as well....usually all the ones I'm after! :)

The calves look to be in good condition-- a little cake really seems to help this time of year. Those dentist visits sure aren't fun or cheap-but hopefully they can get "Chip" fixed up. Went to the dentist the other day- $55 just for the "office visit." Thanks for sharing the photos.

We will be freeze branding our spring '07 replacement heifers in the next week or two. We usually try to do the heifers between 10-12 months of age. You can brand your bred cows without complicating pregnancy. The only thing with a bred cow is you wouldn't want to try and freeze brand a cow...
