Try a product called o-no-mo. It is powder. Mix it with the cows milk and rub it on the calf's back. We've had very good luck with it. We haven't had to skin one in a long time.

Soapweed, I just got back from a 1600 mile road trip. We traveled through Cherry County and saw one of your signs. Sorry to say but Valentine was the highest price gas I saw at $3.50 a gallon!!!

we started using a product about 5 years ago, oh-no-mo (msp). This product works great. It is a powder, we mix it with milk and cover the calf's back with it. It works so good even on calves that aren't their own. We haven't had to skin a calf for years!

I'd sure like to see the pics of that gizzmo too. I thought i was doing something wrong when they werent coming up on that old photobucket. thanks
