    Early December 2014

We built some like that years ago and the cattle were pretty hard on them from rubbing. We took old irrigation pipe and attached that to the "valley" of the steel as a bumper to help reinforce the windbreak. Since that time the shelter belt has grown up enough so we took the windbreak down...

None of my business but I am curious what you have into them after purchasing them and the care for 9 months. I'm sure it will be very profitable this year for you if you were to sell them. Not sure I would want to buy them though, for what they are worth. I'm going to buy my neighbors open...

I noticed the soap weeds too, maybe they winter killed like a lot of other things. How much rain did you get Friday? I heard some big amounts down that way.

One great thing about calving on grass is that there is no big move with pairs and no pairing up. Just drive the heavies to the pasture, shut the gate and go home. They do get rotated to the next pasture every few days once they start calving but that teaches them to pick up their calf and move.

Now there's a guy who has his priorities in order. Personally I would have played golf before the branding. Not really. Is Brock playing in the Sandhills Cattlemans tournament? Maybe I'll see him there.

All of Soap's cows have whiteface in their background. He's been doing his darnedest to breed it out of them though. Just kidding Aaron.

I assume that one was pointed at guys like me. Since I started calving on grass we've had about 2500 unassisted births and no cow fatalities. Not saying it can't happen but it hasn't happened.

I recently signed one of those waivers too on my new barn. That's something new and I know first hand why insurance companies do that now. About 4 or 5 years ago we built a 60X120 pole barn to store equipment. Within a month of completion there was a hail storm that put tiny little dents in...

You know the first step in the recovery process is to admit you have a problem! Do you wear a different one each day of the month?
