    August 2014 pictures

Thanks for your phone number. I actually just got your pm yesterday afternoon and we're already home. Maybe next time, we seem to go to or through Nebraska once or twice a year. Pretty state, btw. Very different from what I think of when I think of Nebraska.

    August 2014 pictures

Hey, Soapweed. I and the hubby passed through your neck of the woods yesterday. Just wanted to say hi. Sitting in Norfolk right now, we're taking in Thunder by the River. We don't have tractor pulling in Saskatchewan like there is down here.

    Last weeks pics

I really like the first bull calf, too. He looks like a keeper! What are you going to do with Bobbi Sue? Retain her and make her a cow? Up here, if we sold her, they'd just look at that little stub of a tail and assumed it was frozen off and dock the bejesus out of the price for her. Doesn't...

    Baby pictures

Nicky, loved the pics! I miss my hereford babies! I sure liked the young cow with the two calves (not both hers), that's a pretty distinct mark in the middle of her forehead.

    You're not in Nebraska anymore

Holey moley, BMR! I think you have more snow down there than we do up here! I feel for you having to deal with that much.

    Fall Roundup..lots of pics..

Hey Jassy! You have a spring calving herd and a fall calving herd, don't you? If so, if you have 1030 cows in your spring herd, how many in the fall herd? BTW, awesome pictures!!! You sure have a way with the camera. I was just down right impressed seeing that many head of cattle together at one...

    Todays Shots

Can I ask a silly question? Instead of mowing, why wouldn't you cut with a haybine, or at least a swather? It would pretty much eliminate the job of raking it together into a swath.

    Let's get reeeaaadddyyy to RRUUUMMMBBBLLLEE

Same here, CattleArmy. Lots of wind, not much of a hay crop growing, and no grass to speak of in the pastures.

    Ranch/Farm Semi - Contest

I sure wish I'd of had some way to send in a photo of our first semi. It was taken way back when before digital cameras came out. Our first truck was an orange 1969 Hayes, it looked and sounded raunchy! The picture I have is it sitting in a hay field, trailer loaded with a load of bales, and the...

    Winner - Teams Pulling

Soapweed, you got any more pictures like those? I sure would love to see them, I really like looking at the heavy horses hooked up to something.

    New Additions (pics)

I hope you don't mind me saying this Randilana, but that #55 heifer looks like she might be a little bit pregnant.

    Snowy pictures, March 4, 2008

Well, I may be 44, but I'm not dead! A good looking guy will always catch my eye. As I was looking through the pictures, my mind was saying "Hmm, now who's this?". FH, I don't think we'd be too disappointed, in fact he may look even better in person. Lucky lady who caught him, that's for sure!

If I could growl in the back of my throat and purr at the same time, I would be already. :D :D :D Meow! What a honey!

And if he has a whole lot of friends that look as good as him, he can bring them with him! I'd hate to put the poor guy in a situation where a pile of older women are fighting over his attention. :) I think we'd build ourselves a bad rep as a bunch of old cougars! :D

The rest of our week-end in pictures, Feb 16-17, 2008

Well, that's a mighty perdy ring! Congrats to them both. And I know someone who'd kill to have a barn setup like yours! How many pens have you got in there?

    Sunset pictures

Beautiful pictures, Nicky. Glad to hear spring has sprung at your place. Here, still a month and a half of winter yet to endure. Real crappy again today, snow and wind.

    Some miscellaneous Pictures

You certainly do live in a beautiful part of the world. Your October picture after the snowstorm makes me miss our cows. Nothing prettier than Herefords stretched out across a field of snow chowing down on hay that you've put out for them.

    Scenery pics part II

Beautiful photos, Nicky. I hope I make it to Oregon some day, and maybe we'll have a chance to sit over a cup of coffee and visit a little.
