Subject: Have you heard about this ?

Add Georgia to the list. It will come before the Senate this year 2009. THE SCREWS ARE TIGHTENING A LITTLE MORE...Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his minions and allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!

A bill that is being pushed in 19 states: Alabama, Arizona, Indiana, California , Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacturer in a data base of all ammunition sales. They will then know how much you buy and what calibers.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011 - (Including hand-loaded ammo). You got to be kidding! Wake UP! Wake up NOW!!They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun! To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to:

http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm

Taken from the State of Arizona's pages B. BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2011, A "PRIVATE CITIZEN" OR A RETAIL VENDOR SHALL DISPOSE OF ALL NONCODED AMMUNITION THAT IS OWNED OR HELD BY THE CITIZEN OR VENDOR.

Hopefully this will Wake Up some of the people who were charmed by the Master Snake Oil Salesman and will take action by screaming to the top of their lungs at their idiot representatives and senators who are pushing this bill. Please get this to all your mailing list now! Wonder how long before we are a Socialist then a Communist Country? They said they would get us without firing a shot. Is this what all the Vets (Living or Dead) were fighting for.

That's exactly the head-in-a-dark-place attitude that allows laws like that to come true. Obama has already voted to take away almost all hunting ammunition, and encoded bullets isn't even that whacko.

Here, since you don't seem to have time to do any research so you know what you're talking about before you talk, read this;

I have a strong suspicion that the ammo that is being bought in great quantitiys is being smuggled to Mexico for the warring drug cartels. I have read several articles about this. Also guns are being bought in great quantitys and being smuggled to Mexico. A lot of this crime that has been created by the cartels is finding its way to The States. I talked to a small time gun dealer in a small town and he said that he sold $6000 worth of ammo in one day.

The big increase came the day after Obama got elected..... Some people don't believe him - they know actions speak louder than words and they've taken the time to see what his actions were.

Actually it started before that. But it can all be attributed to Obama. Store shelves were sold out most of hunting season. Wal-Mart would get in boxes of bird shot and people were buying them by the case.

Panic never really hit. We generally buy new rifle shells for hunting and use the old ones for sighting in. We finally found shells at a gun shop. I didn't need 9 mm, 357 Mag, or 44 mag shells but we went ahead and bought plenty since he had them.

A dude that bird hunts with me said Academy in Fort Worth was sold out of several things quite often.

This shortage is causing all the hunters to stock up on shells.

Obama's judgement statement on the DC Gun ban was enough.

Dessicant sells are good too. I was going to replace mine in the gun safe but the store was sold out. I suppose the folks stocking up on ammo are using a lot of it.

I doubt dessicant is being sent to Mexico :D

All this can be attributed to idiocy, over reaction, and just plain STUPID!!

Okay. So you want to drive your car but all the gas stations are out of gas. What are you going to do ride a bicycle?

If I want to go bird hunting I cannot use a bow and arrow. I'm not that good with a bow. Does that make me an idiot? Am I over reacting when I buy an extra box or two? Or am I just plain stupid for owning a fire arm and wanting bullets that fit it?

I'm talking about the guys here who get wild if they can't buy 500 rounds of ammo for the AK.....and the likes. It's not safe to keep huge numbers of live ammo in your house anyway....that alone is a stupid act.

It's like keeping gas cans full in the basement.

I mean, good lord, how bad a shot are you if you need 500 rounds of ammo for your gun that you keep to protect your house from the ' might be' break in?????

This whole deal is over-reaction.

Ignorance breeds fear....and we seem to be at the height of ' breeding season'........this is what is happening.

What is stupid is ignoring his past gun policies. Do you have any idea what gun legislation the man (excuse me, God) has supported in the past?

Is this going to be your question of the month? The one that you ask over, and over, and over, and over...and always rejecting the answer over, and over and over and over...

Just how many of these people stock piling ammo. rely on hunting to feed their families? If they can't get ammo in the near future to feed their families how are they going to it with a government check?

Very few people in the lower 48 rely on hunting as main way to get food.

That's just an excuse.

Many may supplement as a personal choice.....but not we are no longer a hunter/gathering society. That went out with the Archaic.....8000BCE-1000BCE

Well...we do hunt and gather in the grocery store I suppose!!

You never answer, Alice. You make the claim "That has been answered many times", I ask for you to provide ONE of those many answers, and thats the last I hear from you until you make the claim again.

I brought the stands he has taken on gun control issues and the legislation he supported. Do you want to discuss that or would you rather talk fluff?

How many bullets somebody uses or how much hunting they do is not the point. The point is that a large number of people are not living in the Liberal world of "reality is what we want" and instead are looking at the facts of what Obama has supported in real life and are acting accordingly.

How do you know how others feed their families? Just because you and your neighbors don't, does not mean others don't feel a need to help their food budget along with hunting. It's not just a sport to some.

Another question how many feed their families by hosting and guiding hunters? How are they going to support their families if the sport hunters can't buy ammo?
We have several in the area that rely on hunters to supp. the farm income to stay afloat.
I dare say hunting is a big business and feeds alot more than you would care to admit to.

I do not rely on hunting for food. Not since about '79 or so and I didn't have family then. Just me. The Carter years were a killer.

If I were up against it and trying to feed my children, I'd be out picking up pecans at the moment. Or I would be on the backhoe flipping patio stone like I did for years to put them through college, buy them clothes, vehicles and food.

I worked second and third jobs in my youth to feed them, buy our home, and provide as best I could. I am beyond that now

All I was wanting to do back in September was go bird hunting with friends and it was absolutely a social event. I have no idea why stores sold out of bird shot but they sold out of practically everything.

Obama's position in response to the Supreme Court Ruling on the DC gun ban was all I needed to know about him and his position on the Second Amendment. That absolutely concerns me deeply.

My ancestors were not recent immigrants. I had ancestors who fought to give me the bill of rights.

I'm glad you can pick pecan's but there are those out there that the only life they know is tied to hunting and outfitting and their livelihood is tied to peoples ability to access supplies of Ammo. You can pick up pecans but where I live people rent out houses to hunters to help out their budgets.
