cody night rodeo.... i worked down in cody for two summers while i was going to school at MSU. lived in powell, worked in cody, and roped at Jake Clark's place at ralston every am and pm before and after work - those were two fun summers. Jake had two kids that were full blown professionals if you ask me - TJ and cody if i remember right. that family had a contract with cody night rodeo to break in all the stock. they got 22 fresh steers every week and we got to weed out the crap. a couple other kids went thru the bulls and bucking horses but can't remember their names - one was a tuff sob for sure. sure was a nice family those clarks. i remember jake wouldn't let me in his arena until i could rope his way. he sent me over to carl jones place and he taught me good. carl jones was kc's old man. there was some neat old guys down in that country - bill smith was a neat old guy too.
