Tommy, do you miss having Chandler Keys' outspoken manner to use in your attempt to attempts to find fault with NCBA?
He obviously should have used the word rarely instead of never. Overall, the work he did for the organization was exemplary and very well served cattlemen.
Do you believe NCBA coined the term "North American Beef Industry"? I believe it came from people in other parts of the world using that term. The co-mingling of cattle and beef has been relatively seamless for over a century. The sales of US and Canadian seedstock has improved the quality of Mexican cattle, and feeding those cattle in the efficient US feedlots leaves much of the tonnage actually produced in the USA, does it not?
Hat, the checkoff is paid on all imported beef. That is what makes it impossible to discriminate against it with checkoff dollars. Further, if past experience continues in spite of your group pairing up with other anti-beef entities to advertise beef might not be safe, consumers are going to choose the beef they buy on appearance, experience with previous purchases, and PRICE/VALUE perceptions. Just as they do now!
You would know that if you would avail yourself of information about your beef checkoff from your fellow beef producers in your state organization managing it for you.
What articles in BEEF magazine can you demonstrate to be innacurate propaganda for another entity paying them to publish it?
