Cowgirl Looking 4 Rich Rancher . . . needs help finding one

You are SO right about men . . . their actions do speak louder than words in many cases. But sometimes they are really clueless on how little of an action goes how far.

In my case, I heard over and over again from this man that his exwife was a frigid b_____, and that she never wanted showed any sign of affection--in the bedroom or elsewhere. Come to find out, he is the one who holds out. He is the one who is scared of the intimacy and where it might lead, or showing anyone publically that he is proud to introduce and stand next to the woman is he is with.

I can't tell you how many times I have stayed home by myself during a rodeo weekend, a holiday, or other time when we both had free time and could have spent it together. But he wouldn't plan anything to do together. And, by the words "do" I don't mean anything fancy--it could have been coffee, it could have been time in the truck, it could have been hauling firewood. It could have been a day doing all of that.

Men, before you look for greener pastures, you need to look at the good woman you got right with ya. Maybe its you that's been doing the ignoring--not her. Maybe she's just tired of being ignored. When it comes down to actions (not words) it may only take a hand being held when you walk in for groceries, a kiss on the cheek over the bar-b-que, or a pat on the fannie in the kitchen. It could also be a big bear hug and a kiss in front of the buddies too, so that she knows that you do value her for all that she does.

You know damn well that she cares about you at a level you will never understand--would it kill you to show her once in a while that you actually do have feelings about her?

Well as Y'all know, I just can't resist this sort of thread. You know being unmarried, 47 and such.
I took the time to read through and you seem to have us at somewhat of an advantage. Just what is it you are willing to swap for a "rich rancher?" Lord knows I ain't rich. I work too hard to be rich.

And what about this only cooking for more than two. Does that mean we have to have company in order to eat? I need to eat 3 times a day and my daughter is grown and lives with her hubby. And I sure don't look forward to driving 25 miles one-way three times a day to eat.
So let's get down to it. Can you drive a tractor, cut, and roll hay? Can you stick your arm up a cows butt to see if she is pregnant or to get her pregnant? Can you ride to town in the truck and not run your mouth all the way? Can you work cattle all morning, pull weeds in the garden all afternoon, then cook diner, and wash the laundry that evening. On a ranch, everyone pulls his or her own weight. If you are sure, you know what you are asking for PM me. No harm in a test drive.

Can you two step? Can you make a man feel like a man?
Please post picture of your tractor and your peach pie.

Say Alabama,I guess Blondie got overwhelmed with all those pointed questions........bout my bed time anyway, believe I will head upstairs, gotta head south pretty soon,so be nice to the Lady  ...........good luck

Alabama,
It is clear why you are still single at age 47. No gentleman (cowboy or other) would ever be that disrespectful to a lady. Nuf said. Your momma would slap you right about now for your manners.

LOL, I think a lot of ranch women would love that job description around here.. Gotta add help care for calves at 3 am in your bathroom.

My wife would add getting used to your husband waking up at all hours of the night and coming back in ice cold and getting back in bed only to crawl back out in an hour or so to go back out.

I actually think Alabama was just being honest, that is the life of a wife of a rancher/farmer these days.. Felll lucky, most around here if they aren't working in town, are also cooking for the hired folks and joing their husbands at 3am to pull calves in -20 nights... Ranching is not about riding horses all day and going to rodeos anymore, if it ever was, but someone a little older and a little more experience than I would have to answer that one.

Yeap Alabama perdy much summed it up, left out buildin fences and keepin the ranch books along with a few other jobs that will never fail to come up.....oh and one more thang....most times we ranch wives do all this kinda stuff (minus the cold cold temps down here in Texas) LOL and end up with a smile on our face. Sometimes that smile may take till the next day to appear, cuz after some of the things that we get to do, your not a happy camper when your doin it. But after it's done, and behind you, then you smile about it.

Nope Bama wasn't being disrespectful...just truthful :!:

Honesty is one thing, disrespect and being crude is another. I have never been afraid of hard work, and have done a lot of things that I never thought I would do. What I don't like is crass men! My opinion still stands of Alabama--I know no woman who would put up with that.
:!:

Are you referrin to the "stickin yer arm up a cows butt?" part? If that offended you, and you wanna live on a real workin ranch, your gonna be offended all the time. It's part of ranching. and he put it in a rather nice manner. And was just bein honest about it.

Ahh, my wife doesn't get to help as much as she would like to as she has been taking care of the rugrats which does take presedence over any silly little cow.... This past winter she was just a weee bit pregnant so she really got to avoid the winter night time fun... I think she plans for that :) :D

How Bama described AI and preg checking is mild compared to how most people describe it, including the two lovely women who vet for us... After one got stepped on she taught me a few words I had never heard and I think I might have even  a bit about it... Nah...

Ranch women got it tough... Really do.. That's why on most nights you will catch me in the kitchen cooking dinner for the family, its the least I can do during this time of year. And trust me, I prefer doing the least

I had to smile at the"ride to town and not run your mouth off ".I am betting that one got to her most, but it was funny. Also if you been the bread winner for so long you must be rich yourself?I am just kidding,I guess reading your post one would expect a real b*cth or someone with a sense of humor,i think its the latter in this case.

Your search needs expanding, not sure most ranchers have time to team rope you may need a cowboy.Ranchers work, eat and sleep,by the looks of things here(oh and chat on this site :D ).A single rancher may however look at you as good help and there-fore propose to you at the start of calving season(don't ask for a flashing ring,no one see's it under your leather work gloves anyways :D ).So try the "looking for work" idea and see what you find.

All kidding aside I wish you luck on finding a solid life mate in the ranchers gene pool.Even if that pool,at times, could use a little more chlorine. :D  :D

Alabama got it right!! I'm a female and I do all those things......preg ckin'g cows, AI'ing cows, dippiin' shite out of stalls, etc. Then it's cooking supper, and doing all the ' domestic diva' stuff!

No need to be offended...it's not all shiny trucks and slick horses. There's a LOT of blood , sweat , tears and "shite" behind all the shiny things this life has to offer.

If you got offended....then honestly maybe this lifestyle isn't for you. Don't believe all you read in those ' grocery store' novels with the pretty pictures on the front!!!

what the hell???????????????

those grocery store novels are wrong???????????????

that is why I got into cattle, I read 4 or 5 of those books and decided I wanted to be a cowboy.

as soon as I get a few more cows, we are gonna drive them to Abilene, and sell them at the stockyards. finding it hard to get guys to work on this drive for 2 months and only pay 50 silver dollars though......

sure hope Custer gets those indians under control before we head out!
