Calving is slowing down, and the weather improved this past week. Jim opened the road up so that we could bring our new bulls home... haven't gone this route since October
.
New bulls enjoying the 24 hours of dry ground prior to the next snowstorm.
Yearling heifers and remaining heavy cows. The calves really picked up once we started sorted heavy cows off, and they no longer had to compete for the hay
.
Calved out cows enjoying the trees again
.
I'm pleased with the heifers so far
.
Yesterday I took advantage of good weather to give the heifers their first pre-breeding shot.
I also tucked the pairs into shelter yesterday afternoon since snow was on the way.
Snowed about 5 inches overnight.
