Haymaker, I voted for number five...... I thought it was way cool the way they were sitting and laying...... I just liked the picture.....

Yup,gonna be hard to decide,I recognize a couple of them,I know one has had mighty good care :D :D ............good luck

Wish soapweed would of gotten some of his puppy pictures...... And Tibbs........ Wonder about his pups. Do you suppose he has gotten married on us and doesn't have time for ranchersnet.......

#5 is hilarious cuz you know if that wasnt another dog he was parked on, he would shove a human on the ground and use them for a cushion. They really do figure they are lap dogs :) (I used the term he cuz I didnt check for bits, could be a she though...)

I entered the #4 photo not because it's one of MY favorite dogs, but because it's one of Lil Lilly's favorite dogs. It belongs to her sponsor, and the dog just loves her. They hit it off right away, and she's so sweet. I took their picture while they were playin last week before the contest. got this one of just the dog that I thought was a good photo of her. Then while we were gone this weekend, he was goin back home to Louisiana and the morning he was leaving the dog was missing. He finally found her the next day 10 miles from his place here. Someone called his phone number that was on her tags. Her name's "Queeny" So glad he got her back, he's an elderly gentleman and lives alone, "Queeny" keeps him company.

I thought we were gonna hafta use this photo to put on a flyer to find her, but it wasn't needed afterall.

And she is a beautiful dog, Jersey Lilly.

I used to raise the Scottish Collies, like she is.
And we raised Shelties too.
Not for a long time, but we did raise them.
Wonder now how I had the ambition.
Raising dogs is a lot of work. But when you are poor,
it's all exciting and you are young, so the work doesn't matter.

I wish eveyone would tell why they called their entries their
"favorite dog."

Your wish is my command, FH!!!!!!

Here's part of the PM I sent Lilly, to enter the contest (mine was #3, I believe):

Not the best, the camera I had back then (85) wasn't the best, and time certainly didn't help the pic......but here's Beau. Got him as a pup from a neighboring rancher, he was half pit and half red heeler, and a darn good cowdog.

Just had a little too much "pit" in him, and kept tangling with porcupines.....last time he had so many quills in his nose, eyes, mouth, down his throat, that dad had to shoot him. I was glad that I'd married and left home by then.

Beau will always hold a special place in my heart, though.

The horse with him was my mare, Soxin, that I raised from a baby.....she's long gone, too. The picture was taken at my aunt and uncle's corral, just down the creek from where I grew up. My uncle built the corral and barn there, when they homesteaded the place back in the early 1920s. Not sure if you wanted the whole "low-down" or not, but ya got it anyway!
