Fightless Friday, How 'bout some good recipes??

Since Hanta Yo brought this up, I'll add one that has become one of our very favorite desserts.

Blackberry Dessert
Crust:
2 sticks butter
1 and 1/2 cups flour

Filling:
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 cup milk

Topping:
1 and 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 cup water
4 c. blackberries, (I use frozen and they work fine)
5 Tbs. cornstarch
12 oz. whipped topping (this is so good, we don't use the whipped topping)

Preheat oven to 350. Melt butter and mix well with flour.
Press into a 13x9 baking pan. Bake 20 minutes.
Cool. Mix together ingredients for filling and pour over cooled
crust. For the topping mix together sugar, water, blackberries,
and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook
3 minutes. Cool, pour on top of cream cheese layer and spead
evenly. Top with whipped topping. Refrigerate.

sw's Zucchini Goulash

1 medium zucchini, sliced (not peeled)
1 pt canned tomatoes
2 C uncooked elbow macaroni
2 C beef boullion
2 C cherry tomatoes, cut in half
Parmesan Cheese

Brown hamburger with onion, add boullion, canned tomatoes, macaroni. Cook until macaroni is almost done. Add zucchini and cherry tomatoes, cook til tender. Top with parmesan cheese or grated cheese of your choice.

This was on page 3 of this thread....

ZUCCHINI SUPREME
2 -3 lbs zucchini sliced
4-5 bacon strips chopped
1 medium onion chopped
1 /2 lb mozzarella cheese sliced

In a large skillet, on medium heat, cook the bacon and the onion until the bacon is getting crisp and the onion becomes translucent, stirring every once in a while so it is mixed up. Add the zucchini slices, cover, and let it cook, turning with a spatula about every five minutes. Try to mix the bacon and onion through out the zucchini. When the zucchini is all starting to get soft and cooked, put the cheese slices on the top, cover and let sit for about five minutes until the cheese is melted.

have to go to butte today to see the pulmonologist and will be home later today.....just took out a couple small beef eye of round roasts!! Any quick and easy suggestions to make this meal yummy, easy and something that I can do in a jiffy????? :o

You can:

1) Thaw out and cut into 1-1/4 " steaks and bar b q them outside :D

2) Put in crockpot on top of carrots, potatoes, onions and 1 C beef broth. Cook on high.

tater soup is much more better without the garlic, and with a lil bit of velveeta cheese added in there while its cookin.

mmmmmmm wish I could get away with feedin just a pot of tater soup for supper.

Beefsteaks:

Take out steaks from the freezer in the AM
Put two beefsteaks on a hot gas grill.
Turn the steaks over in 4 minutes
Cook till medium
Eat hot with knife and fork.
Don't put anything at all on the beef. It is best the way mother nature made it with just a little heat.

Beefsteaks and sex:
Take out steaks from the freezer in the AM
E-mail a willing woman in the AM and ask her to drop by after work for dinner. Tell her that you are serving Black Angus beef.
When she arrives start blending a Margareta
While she leans against the counter in the kitchen sipping on the margarita. Cut some fresh pealed cucumber into a small dish and add some sweet rice vinegar. Place dish on table for her to snack on while you make the salad. If she offers to feed you a slice of cucumber while you hands are busy cooking, hurry and cook beefsteaks as described above and quit wasting time.
If not then turn on the oldies country music station and blend her another margarita. You might even add a little dancing with her as you take her the glass. If she acts like she wants to dance a little you can put on the steaks.
With the salad in the bolls and the taters in the microwave and the hot bread on the grill, take her out on the porch with you to cook the steaks.
With the steaks smelling right, the sun setting over the pastures and the cattle grazing by slowly, stand close and wrap you arm around her as you point out the points of interest that you can see from the porch. This might just be a good time to steal a kiss if things are going right. Be careful and don't over do it though you might burn the steaks.
Now that the beef is done, you got her relaxed, and a good salad, baked tater and a just right beefsteak on a candle lit table with soft country music it won't be long and satisfaction is guaranteed. You can clean up the kitchen in the morning while she is in the shower.
Now picture the above with chicken. It just doesn't work without the beef.
Beef it's what's for dinner.

you got that about right alabama, it just would not be right to try that with chicken Breast, a bunch of thighs, would it now. And I thought you wanted to know about the watermelon salsa. One thing about that salsa the watermelon brings out the hot in the peppers, you think you need lots of peppers to make it hot, oh no, something about the sweet juice brings it out, and we have Tabasco on everything, Anahiem chiles, jalapenos all of the time, so we know what hot is. The recipe with the black beans is probably the better of the two but both of them are good. Now I got to go find me a steak to go with the fruit salad

A lightly underfed dog will shine those dishes like new.

No need for the dishwasher then. Rinse and eat.
