I sure enjoy visiting ranches in various parts of the country. Recently I was visiting a place over in the mountains. Lots of things need to be done differently from what I am used to on the prairies. The ranches in the south are very different operations than those in British Columbia or Saskatchewan. Some things are basic, and are common among all livestock producers. We all are dependant on grass and animals that can convert grass to beef. We all watch the sky. In life, we are from various walks, town or country. We have various likes and dislikes, as well as a wide variety of needs, but we are all dependant on God to provide those needs. Sometimes we may think that this person or that one "sure needs the Lord." That is undoubtedly correct, but no less than I do. Isn't it remarkable that he knows and understands each individual and meets us where we are? We do have a great big wonderful God. You have a good Sunday mornin', and a good week to follow.

Thanks, Shortgrass. You nailed it. With God, we have everything. Without Him, we have nothing and are nothing.

Glad you and Jan and your grandkids all had a wonderful time at Frontier Days. :-)

I believe a book written by shortgrass filled with his inspirational messages would be a best seller! And today he even came up with the perfect title........"We all watch the sky". This lifestyle we love tends to get a person looking up for rain or sunrises and especially guidance. Thanks again Shortgrass for my Sunday School inspiration!
