Good Sunday Mornin'

I pulled the bulls yesterday. I put the bulls from 4 different pastures together, and you know what ensued. What a fight! Bulls banging heads, and trying to tear things up. These animals have amazing power. I saw again what where the term "bull-headed" came from. I'll go out this morning, and acess the damages. I turned them together in the pasture, so hopefully they got their pecking order established without tearing up too much fence. Humans, and animals alike want to establish dominance in the social order of things. Isn't it amazing, that God, who is all powerful and all knowing, and undoubtedly dominant over all is also gentle and humble, as He deals with me in my life. God is the exact opposite of these bulls. I have heard "humility" defined as "strength uner control." Let's us be more like Him instead of these ol' bulls in the pasture as we relate to our fellow man. Have a good Sunday mornin'.

A few years back when I happened upon Ranchers.net and the first time I read "Good Sunday Morning, I liked it, but I thought, "I hope no one objects to this.." and I'm glad my small worry on the matter was unsubstantiated. That's a good indication of the kind of people who inhabit this site. Yep, another good one, today. Thanks Shortgrass.
I always enjoy the "High Plains Parables" of "Good Sunday Morning" and am thankful for your ministry.

DD, the people who inhabit this site certainly miss Shortgrass and his weekly message on the rare occassions when he is late or doesn't show. I might not visit ranchers all week but I still check in to read the Sunday message. Thank you Shortgrass!

Thanks Shortgrass! I've had countless bruises and bumbs on my noggin and most were self inflicted. And knockin' heads with my fellow man is never a fun exercise. I'll try and do better at following the fine example you laid out in your thoughtful sermon. I too, check in each Sunday, for the good word. :D

I am confident that many opportunities are lost because someone is afraid that someone might get offended. I would not try to offend anyone, but if they are offended because they have a chip on their shoulder, they have a problem, not us.
