Edited because of the jerks who are now on ranchers.. I had forgotten this isn't the old ranchers where we could laugh at one another and joke. But do to the a couple of assholes on this site who have a vendetta aginst a couple of us gals I will not be giving them any fodder... Most of ya I love and would give ya the shirt off my back for ya.. Even though we may not agree on everything... I love the pictures, it gives me a chance to see country I will prolly never get to see. And how you operate in your world.. And the support you've shown me in what ever my endevers maybe..........

Just a reminder for all you northern folks who aren't used to all this humid weather (like me) to please drink lots of fluids perforibly not beer to keep hydrated... I've had sweat running down my crack twice this morning and it's really hard on this ole fat girl... :D Plus the flies and mosquitos are terrible... Doesn't take long to unplug the baler at night. And pee breaks are cut down to a minimum..... :D

Well...a sweaty boob crack is about as disgusting.................. unless fillin' them size 9 shoes you got more cracks on you...prob not vertical though!!!

remember when it wasn't like that here...or least not so much.

I know what you mean about the bugs. I was out on the 4 wheeler
spraying weeds this morning and didn't have any repellent on or
with me. :shock: I won't do that again. Guess I better get out there and
put some fly spray on the horses.

We don't have the humidity tho; at least not bad. It is warming up
tho and we are to have 30 mph winds tomorrow. :cry:
How is your hay baling up?
 
Correct me if I'm wrong....but should " ladies" be talking like 'bar flies' ....about their 'cracks'???????
 
Jingo...it must be depressing to get up in the morning for you. You always have to put someone else down to pump yourself up. Get up in the morning with a smile on your face, life is too short to be negitive.

Jingo, if she's unplugging a baler at night, she's gotta a right to talk however she wants as far as I'm concerned. And yeah, Katrina, I understand the humidity. It's like having a humidifier stuck to your mouth.

It's going well fasters.... We will be done today or should say tonite and I will be done AIing in the next day or two.. Whitch has been a learning exsperiance of its own.....
Limit is doing really well on the new feed... I'm trying to adjust to this laid back lazy thing now... I laided my lunging whip down on the other side of the pen whitch is his run to his barn and I turned him out and he went and got the whip in his mouth and brought it to me..... What a hound dog.... He's lots of fun... I have a blanket laying across my saddle and everytime I lead him past it he has to pull it off my saddle... I plan on going to the five day run in Rapid.. But I don't know what days I will be there because I can't be gone from home that long... I'll let ya know...
 
The mosquitos have been pretty hungry here also. It has been muggy and threatening to rain since the oats went in but not enough to make a difference yet. What we need is one of Lilly's frog stranglin' rains to do some good. The high spots on the meadows are looking kind of sorry compared to where we got lots of water on.
At least we don't have the humidity.
 
Ok I have to ask when you say its humid how humid are you talking about. Here in Florida if you step outside and your dry for more than ten minutes it isn't very humid lol! We are running in the mid to high 90's with humidity in the 80 - 90% range.....but then again we can go outside in the winter without fear of freezing to death so I guess it all balances out. I don't think you folks from the north west could take our summers but I am dead certain I couldn't take your winter! Drink lots of water you are about done when you slosh every time you take a step! Be safe out there!
 
had frost a couple days last week , but with temps in the high 70 the skeeters are starting to get thick, all the flood irrigation not helping, alfalfa usually dosn't start here till after the 4th.... but it behind no buds yet
 
Yesterday we had anywhere from 86% to 96% humidity. And dropped to 32%.. We usually don't have that high of humidity and if your not used to this high of humidity it just takes alot out of ya if your working outside...

No alfalfa here but the rest sounds familiar Jody. I think we have had more frosty mornings than you.
Roy and I just got in from brushing out an old trail, the mosquitos were hungry and thick. :shock:
 
We just started cutting alfalfa today...it has been in the bloom for
awhile, was just too wet to cut. Some say the alfalfa weevil is bad...we have a bit, but not bad.
The alfalfa is awesome. Best we've ever had
here by a long, long ways. It's dryland...and amazing what it
yields when it rains.
